Try setting the Shadow Map Size to at least 512. Memory hog, but the results are better. I render exclusively in P4 (Bryce will come one day) and I agree that lighting is double-plus tough to do perfectly. You might also try adjusting the Highlight color, and the Ambient color, and Highlight Size, to get rid of the 'purples.'

Bitchin. I especially like the lighting (my personal bugaboo.) Good spotlight, and even better ambient lighting.
Thread: Pharoah still wishes to know ... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks, Mel. Yeh, Nefertiri had a few 'Cairo Specials' and loosened up. Those guards (I like 'em too) are the 'Physique' morph toned down abit, and a skant for modesty. The Prince is the one with an attitude I wanted a somewhat clean pic, not overloaded with props. Plenty of people already. And I like a pic that suggests a story-line, or something happening. Otherwise its just a chorus line. ;) This'll get one more post when I clean up the skants, ground plane, may be add a prop, and work the lights a little more. Thanx for the comments!

Thanx. The nude slave has been brought before mighty Pharoah for ... questioning. And yeah, the queen needs to chill out. Lighting a set is still tough. Only have Poser 4 now, used to use some Bryce 3D (boy do I miss volumetrics!)
Thread: What model would you like to see as WhiteCrow3D's daily free model? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
How about a harness to use w the P4 horse for pulling a wagon etc.? Lotsa buckles and straps. Or barding? (Horse armor) A plow w harness for an ox? A bellows for a forge? A forge? A simple crossbow? A barber pole? Need more ideas? I got.

Excellent image. My 2 cents worth: I agree with Roshigoth, the rocks need to be ... toned down? Maybe drop the slders from 100% to 65% or so for the rock's tex and bum. As to composition, you could tweak positions all day, and all you get is different results, not necessarily better ones. Good depth to the image, the background looks like it is back there, not pasted on a wall behind her. PS. Does she have a beeper number?...

Thread: Seperating tail from horse PLEASE Help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A quick-n-dirty solution: Just set the rest of the horse to Invisible and no Cast Shadows (double-click on relevant part) and parent the hip to ... whatever. Should work, but adds a whole 'nother character to the scene, and I always have a problem keeping the population levels down. ;)

Thread: Skeleton/clothing conforms | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, I like the last idea. Anyway, I mostly use my skeletons as-is, or give them some armor and weapons. This is an interesting one tho.
Thread: Skeleton/clothing conforms | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Most all of the clothes are sized for the nude male/female figure. There are differences between the skeletons and nude figures that prevent the clothes from conforming the way you'd expect. Try using a nude figure to put the clothes onto, then replace the figure with a skeleton while keeping all props etc. attached. This might work. Any recommendations from the more technically adept here?
Thread: Thanks John West! Galadrial dress WIP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I like! The dress is cool, but the tex is bitchin! That 'white-on-white' look is very impressive, and transparency just adds to the effect. Tho maybe just a tad less trans?... Never fully satisfied, always fully appreciative, MadRed
Thread: Scott's triceratops texture | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No offense intended, but I'm not fond of this particulr texture. Looks too ... grainy? Maybe I'm expecting more typical lizard stuff. But what was a trike's skin really like anyway? I imagine somewhat like a rhino or elephant. Coloration - who knows? But who listens to me anyway? ;)
