With two machine...1 has Bryce 5 installed and the has Bryce Lightning installed (for the network render) I have i second cpu with only Bryce Lighting installed and work perfectly.

Academic version software, in general, don't have manual and they don't get the same level of support from the full version and like EricofSd said, there is some difference in the license agreement. There is difference in prices but if you think you are going to use Bryce for commercial value, buy the full version. Pleiades

Tradivoro, i am rendering at 300 dpi for print for some picture i have made, one took me about 7 days to render at 300 dpi for 8x11.25 inch format. The computer used was a P3 at 550 Mhz. Now i am using Bryce 5 and 2 P3 at 866 Mhz, so the render is faster but i never did a render at 300 dpi for the moment. Pleiades

You should check the configuration of you network, i did sometest and if i check IPX/SPX on my network card, Bryce lighting do nothing, i take the check mark off and only check TCP/IP and then it start. Pleiades

the overall is very good but i would lower a little bit the light beams and maybe had a little fog (the fog is only an idea - even without it the picture is great.) The trees are very well made. Pleiades

Awesome picture, the terrains, rocks well done. Only one thing i find a little bit odd it's the clouds near the sun. Look likes the texture applied random and look kind weird. Pleiades

would it be possible to post this thread in the right forum. Here it's the Bryce Forum not the technical computer one. If you don't know how to used FDISK, don't use it. And if you were told that to reformat your C Drive there is a good chance your registry are pretty mess up. Doing a recovery with the CD is a good solution.
