I have used P3dO for about 6 years now w/o any problems other than it "timing out and freezing" if I have it running idle for a long period of time. I am currently running it on Win98SE on an AMD K2 chip.

lelionx - you might try deleting cookies and get rid of the old ones. Sometimes starting fresh [Fresh Cookies, get it? LOL] helps when I have site problems such as you describe.
Thread: Why I like playing around with Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am not a organized person, due to over-organization if you know what I mean? I plan and scheme and figure things out, maybe even do a couple of sketches...open Poser and start on my idea. First thing I know the program has taken over, and in the zeal of creation the finished product has nothing to do with what I started out to make. This will probably make the dedicated-proficient few grind their teeth, but it is the thing I love most about having a harddrive nearly full of Poser stuff.

OT this thread, but OT [OnTopic] for P3dO Explorer...there is a forum thread by yarp, he is working on a new release of P3dO with a lot of new features. Check it out...this program is tops in my book and I use it more than I do Poser itself.

LOL @libernull comment. Looking through the Daz forums is about as confusing to me as the first day of High School Geometry. [I never did figure that out either!]
Thread: TOS update | Forum: Community Center
Somehow pedophilia, pics of nude children, porno, and child molestation all get jumbled up and the true intention of the thread is lost as usual. Pedophile predators are indeed prevalent in our society and it is a horrible thing...but check the statistics. The majority of cases of child sexual abuse occur within the family circle, and of those most happen within the immediate family circle. Not very supportive facts that simple nude graphic representations cause temporary insanity with the end result being molestation.

Hurray for yarp! Any idea at this time what the price will be for the full version release when it is available? I have always said that P3dO was the greatest free utility out, and will gladly purchase the retail version

I second what genny said, I had eyeballed the restaurant over at Renderotica store for ages...just never had the extra dimes to purchase. Now due to your extreme generosity, I have it...plus a few of your other goodies. My good buddy Hellmark at Rendervisions mentioned to me that you had released these freebies in part to help promote the site...pat yourself on the back for that generous gesture as well.
Thread: HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLP poser and virtual memory!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I see you already have your answer...but I will add a bit of OT to this. It is a good idea to re-set your virtual memory every once in awhile just for safety sake. I make it a part of my routine disk maintenance at least every 2 weeks. VM can get corrupedt very easily if you are on the computer a lot, and it can cause operational problems.

Maclean has the right idea as far as I am concerned. I have a new system still waiting to be set up, I am going to use it for a work station and keep the older one for my online stuff and 'feeder' system. Of course, the older one currently has all of my graphics and Poser stuff on it but will probably set the new one from the ground up and only transfer certain files from the old one...due to the fact my Poser folder is a total disaster at this point. To get back on topic, I repeat: AMD chips Rule!
Thread: Probable E-Mail Virus | Forum: Community Center
Probably a bit OT for this thread...but another great online threat, especially to newbies, is the 'hoax' email. A legitimate looking email encouraging people to delete certain files from their computer because they are 'known' to contain dangerous code. I receive at least 2 or 3 of these a month forwarded from certain of my well-meaning friends and relatives. I have a standard email reply archieved that I send these people along with the Norton site link that lists these various hoaxes. This standard reply also contains info regarding the dangers of opening email attachment.

Thanks for the idea, one nude grandma with a fully clothed very young grand-daughter coming up. That should be good to start another thread on the forum!!

I don't do anything in the market place...but I have had this same problem on a lot of other sites periodically, including the RO main site.
Thread: Probable E-Mail Virus | Forum: Community Center
This is running rampant online now. I received a warning from my ISP that an email was being circulated addressed from my ISP and the warning from my ISP read: Virus Alert -"DO NOT OPEN" Now a bit of common sense will head off any problems of this sort...the attachment is supposedly a password protected zip file and the password appears in the text body!! [Think about that one for a minute.] You just never, ever, never open attachments that can contain malicious code even if the message comes from someone you consider a reliable source. Whatever great goodies the attachment contains cannot be worth the risk.
