Thread: Absolute File Path problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To do it by hand follow these steps. 1. Open the PP2 or PZ3 file in wordpad. 2. Search for the word "material" 3. On these lines you will see the path that Poser will try to locate the texture from. 4. To make this path compatible with all versions of Poser use the following syntax : :Runtime:textures:texture folder:texture.jpg remember whan resaving the file to check that wordpad has not added ".txt. to the end of the file name. If it has simply rename the file and remove the ".txt" Hope this helps.
Thread: Mac User trying to package Runtime folder for Marketplace, problems. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The problem may be the texture paths within the mat files (I assume we are talking about mat files). To make these paths compatible with every version of poser you should use the following syntax :Runtime:Textures:Your Folder:Your texture.jpg If this is the case then it should work.
Thread: Dynamic Hair Lengthening | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The simple answer is no because once you have left the Hair room what you have is a prop. It would be possible to adjust the YScale through your anumation but I don't know how that would look. Try it. You never know.

Open up the file in wordpad or notepad and search for the word "Material". There may be more than once instance of this word but on each of these lines it will tell you where it is trying to find the texture file it needs.

Thread: Poser 5 Dynamic Hair Tutorial - by NeilP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Check the link again in a few days for an adobe acrobat file for each tutorial. I will put a few more hair tutorials up when I can find the time to do them. At the moment I am working on an animation tutorial for Poser 5.
Thread: i want to make high quality close up image and video of Tawnie for V3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi resolution maps need to be rendered in a high resolution to look their best. As for the glossy lips, etc. It is very possible that the merchant did a little bit of postwork to the promotional image. Poser 5 does have a "Glossy" node that you can add to your lip texture but I have found this can be a little too extreme for most of the work I do. Postworking a video clip is more difficult but there are applications out there such as Adobe After Efects that can help you... not cheap though.
Thread: Virtual Memory etc? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have had Poser 5 for quite a while now and, in my experience, I have found that it makes no difference what settings you make to Windows memory, Poser 5 doen not take advantage of it. The rendering time lag is cause by the fact that poser 5 will not use your graphic cards 3d acceleration. Maybe one day.

Thread: I've got a question about the background color | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I assume that you have poser 5 and you have just applied the service release 4.1. If this is the case then follow these steps. Run Poser. Go to the material room and select the background colour. You will notice that there are a few rogue nodes with the name background. Delete any that are not connected. Go back to the pose room and set poser prefs to launch from prefered state. Note. You will need to repeast this process for any projects you have saved since service pack 4.1.
Thread: Is there a way????? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You are trying to apply a face morph (Face) to a different model than the face morph was created for. For example applying a victoria 2 Face morph to Michael 2 would generate this error message. If you have a look inside the FC2 file with wordpad or notepad you will see listed the geometry file that the face morph pertains to. From there you can workout which model it will work with. I hope this makes sense.
Thread: Is there a way????? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No problem. In windows explorer locate you Poser 5RuntimeLibraries directory. You will notice a directory called Face and Directory called Pose. Please the .FC2 and correcspoding .RSR files in the Face Directory and Please and .PZ2 and coressponding .RSR files in the pose directory. Load poser 5 and look in the Expressions (Face) and pose folders and you should see the files. Welcome to Poser 5. You'll be as addited to it as the rest of us before you know it.
