Thread: Texture Mapping New Character | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You need to set the materials up with the Poser 4 Grouping tool. One day I am going to get around to writing a tutorial for the grouping tool, its one of the most powerfull new aditions to P4. -Trav

Thread: Amorphium | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not only does it not do maps, but amorphium also will strip out the usemtl statements and group statements from an .obj file. Like Codeman said, get UV mapper, link in on the side bar. You can user poser 4's grouping tool to remake the usemtl and groups. -Trav

Materials are defined in the .obj file. You should be able to copy the head section from the original .obj and add it to your custom geometry to get the materials set the way you want them. Do a search for: g head that will get you the head section. Materials are set up as: usemtl tongue and the like. This will only work, if the head has not been modified in a way that adds/subtracts/modifies the vert order. -Trav

Thread: Figures go out of whack when animating. Why? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When poser figures the animation moves between the keyframes, large positive or negative values for the joints can make it act weird. Ok, I am not sure if this is the fix you are looking for, but it is worth a try. Under the animation commands there is something like "reconfigure key frames" not sure of the command name, I don't have poser open at the moment. That command will smooth out your animation I believe. Maybe one of the animation masters can give you a better answer. -Trav
