Shred, Don't forget to look into local providers in your area. My provider "theworks.com" has been VERY helpful and I'm still only paying $20/mo and I'm using 20 MB of space and transfering over 6 GB/mo.
Thread: New hair collection underway...... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If the UV mapping program splits the hair down the middle, the texture, trans, or bump map will be applied the the top layer (the one we see) and the layer against the inside of the prop (againt the head). This is what makes UV mapping confusing. To get precise control over mapping I will split a prop into several groups. (using the grouping tool, or some other app) then create an OBJ for each group. Now, map the obj for each group seperately. Then import all the props back into poser and re-export all the props to one OBJ file. Last step open the all in one OBJ fiel in the UV mapper and fine tune the map. This is the technique I used to create the LSWHair and I'll bet Allie used a similar technique to create the super TransCurls Hair prop.
Thread: Caught C exception Error | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Trouble is if you want to save before poser crashes then you have to save every 4 1/2 minutes. Shouldn't the message read DID NOT catch C exception 4Q2:OU812? If they really caught the error program wouldn't crash, Would it.
Thread: Long Wet look Hair. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yup, It's up. Yup, it's got the OBJ, I didn't include the UV template Cuzz the ZIP was getting pretty big. If y'all want the template, I'll put it on my website. (like if you don't have a UV maper) Ikyoto, If you do anything cool with mapping (texture or otherwise) I'd really like to see it. The Hair is here: Nerd 3D Props Page

Darth, yeah, www.theworks.com/~nerd/nerd3d.htm. It did start off as a long straight hair prop. But alas, it looks like wet hair. Guess I should be happy there.

Thread: Reclining pose.. need critique, please | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, the neck. Everything else is great. Try Y scaling down the neck just a litte. or mess with the joit centers and rotation angles. Extreme poses usually require a little joint fixing.
Thread: female boots | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Or, DL the boots made by Phil Hokosai. They conform better than the stock poser boots. The Clara Kringle boots conform pretty well too. (shameless plug :-) nerd
