Wap! I haven't been going to the front page? My Favorites link in IE is directly to the forums and then I used the tool bar at the top to go to the Marketplace. Also, when I went to the front page I never saw it because it is all the way at the bottom of a very long page. No wonder I never saw it! Okay, let me try another suggestion. How about a link to the Wishing Well on the MarketPlace main page ... or did I miss that too?

Well, this wasn't what I expected, but I think it is a neat idea. How about what I expected too...an area at the marketplace where potential customers could give artists ideas about what they would like to buy (we periodically get a thread going about this anyway and these requests could have a permanent home). In addition, after an idea is posted additional potential customers could vote to let an artist know what the potential market is for the idea.

Thanks Dan, Ya'll seem very dedicated to populating the Poser world. You are truly dedicated to giving your customers value for their dollar. "...DAZ is trying to expand the Michael market by giving people more reasons to get him. Therefore the more people who have Michael the more incentive there is for developers (like DAZ and others) to develop for him. Therefore in the long run there will be more products available for Michael at great places like Renderosity, 3D Commune, DAZ3D etc." Unfortunately, the built in versatility of Mike only means we're going to see transvestites and textures and clothing for Stephanie, not more development of Michael. If we were going to see development for Michael we'd have already seen it. Perhaps the only way to increase the Mike products is to offer brokered artists financial incentives.

If you are a student you should check into the student price for Poser 4 at your University Bookstore. P4 was a considerable change from P3. Much of what you see and admire on this site would not be possible or would be slow using P3.

Well, the standard is Excel. Before heading there though I would check the QP web site or Microsoft web site (doubtful) to see if they have produced a fix for the incompatability. Gee, you don't think Microsoft is a monopoly and purposely made it so QP people would end up switching do you?

I don't know if this helps, but once you copy a file to a CD it is marked as read only. When you copy it to your hard drive it remains read only unless you go in and change the file attributes.

Some have asked why CL doesn't give a date or hints about P5. Frankly, I'm shocked that Kupa said what he did. What if one of those things can't be fit in? Are we going to be upset? I'll bet CL will be disparaged for days. How many people have read this thread and are thinking "Wow, I should wait for P5 and not buy P4"? By announcing a date for P5 CL effectively eliminates sales of P4 and places themselves in a nasty bind if they miss the projected date. I'm sure CL wants to release P5 ASAP, but let's encourage them to be thorough so that we don't have to put up with so many (notice I'm not stupid enough to say "any")bugs. Also, for those with suggestions for P5 and beyond, don't forget that CL has a wishlist submission area on their web page.

Someone also didn't know the difference between the shoulder (joint) and the upper arm (segment). To be consistent why isn't the thigh called the hip? To be fair, my guess is that "upper arm" is two words and perhaps they needed the label to be one word only. Would someone have dinged them if they'd called it UpperArm? Or how about humerus?
