Not really but you can do plop renders, there are some scene previeve options that will give you a render preview if you turn them on while you do your adjustments (3d cloud, sky room, tree lab ect..). You can use the gl feature turned on to give you realtime feed back. Depending on your hardware a preview render is alot faster then the nano preview is and will give you a good idea what you scene will look like. Carrara has a much faster render engine then bryce so its not a chore to do a quick semi realistic render.
Thread: Cinema 4D models into Vue | Forum: Vue
I dont know if it did or didnt, I could only find reference on it there was no download site that I could find. BTW it was a free plugin. If you can find it other users said it worked very well. Good luck

I dont think you can with textures, I have tried to do this my self there was a plugin for C4D v6 that would let you export as obj with textures but I havnt been able to find a download link for it and the newer ones dont work with C4D v6

Thread: What constitutes an "artist" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great question. To me an artist is some one who can take from thier imagination and visualy display it for others to enjoy. Or hear a sound in thier head and compose it for others to enjoy. We may not agree on one's persons interpretation of art but if its created from nothing and it effects the views of others whether possitive or negative and cause's no harm I would consider this art.
Thread: Another cool animation done with Carrara. | Forum: Carrara
I think the work that Eovia did on Carrara 5 is incredible, it takes my renders to a new level.
Ringo do you know it there are any plans for soft body dynamics this would really help place Carrara as a pro product.
Also why Python when nodes seem to be the way creative software is headed, I know that scripting is very powerful but nodes do the same thing and is easier for non programers.
All in all I am using C5 every day and am very happy with the results.
Great work Eovia

Lots of great stuff said here about C5, I think I will upgrade in a couple of weeks this will be the 4th version on my computer in 1 year. It looks like I may be able to get rid of Vue 5 I, Has anyone had a chance to try some bone animations with C5 yet? is it any better also the subsurface scattering what kind of control do you have, is it comparable to translucent pro for cinema 4d?

I dont think you can animate trees via wind, but you could setup some bones attached to the plant object then attached to an invisible object used as a control point.

It works great on XP, I used it on Bryce 4,5, Carrara and Vue the imports are good (need some smoothing). It also exports to obj, 3ds and lwo
It's forever in my tool box.
