Well, as a purchaser of Amy because of your reccomendation, I accept the apology. Really I wasn't mad at you at all, I know that I am not the only person who can be misled. Poop happens, you know? I am just disappinted because I was Psyched about working on Amy this weekend. (Not because I don't love all the models I have already, but I like jumping from one to another, keep me interested.) Instead I will be working with the Millenium Kids this weekend, since I really haven't done enough with them yet to have moved on to something else. Cost of Amy - $50.00 Cost of sincere apology - Priceless. Thanks =) JDexter
Thread: The Amy figure is Posette. Don't be fooled. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh well, I was ignoring the hype when I got her. I was just wanting another character to work with since I have used all the Daz ones. I was hoping for a challenge to learn how to make skin textures for a model that I hadn't tried before. The worst thing about this is that I was thrilled that I was able to use the P4 versions of some of the hair I bought (the Vicki ones that included P4 settings) with only minor adjustments. I guess if I had ever actually used the P4 woman, I would have had a heads up. But when I started in this, it was January and I bought Poser, Vicki, Mike and Carrara right off the bat as my learning tools, so I really never used anything from the original Poser package, Vicki and Mike (and then Steph) were more than enough to keep me busy learning. I guess Amy has done that now too, because I sure learned something. =( Oh, well, it could have been a whole lot worse than just $50 Excuse me while I go cry on Steph's shoulders (hehe) JDexter P.S. Should I even think about Dina-V or whatever the model is that can use Vicki's clothing?

Well, doesn't this just suck in a major way. Okay everyone, throw sucker on my head because I bought this. I never used posette, I went straight to Vicki/Mike and then Steph. Oh, well, I guess 50 bucks is not too much lost on a hard lesson. /sigh JDexter

Okay, I decided, what the hell and bought it, I always like seeing new faces. Anyway, the renders you are putting up really don't do her justice because she really is a peach. I can se me doing a lot with her in the future and can't wait until I get the Vicki clothing CR2 and the morphs for the face and body (she really does need more, but I agree, the mesh is fantastic and even I can do some of the morph I need with it). First thing I did was fit Cake's Real eyes to her and had no problem with that at all (yay Cake, they are awesome BTW) That being said, there is a downside and here it is: It comes in a zip, no readme, no documentation of any kind whatsoever and no link to the company who makes her. There is no liscensing information in the file, no texture template or anything else that explains how the people who purchased her can register and make sure we get the upgraded files. So Small, if you can get some answers like for the questions above, I think it would sell a whole lot better, even without the hard sell tactic (which is not my favorite style either, down with Crazy Eddie) Thanks, JDexter P.S. She really does look better on my screen than any of your renders, I wonder why? Camera angles? Focal Length? I will post something of her once I get something I like. At least a head pose with the hair and Cake's Real Eyes.
Thread: Sorry but I will no longer be making model packs... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Doh! repacake should have been repackage. Also, just leave your machine on 2 nights a week with it shared, that should be more than enough to get them spread out across the sharing services. JDexter

I am sorry to hear that, but maybe you should try this first. If it is one of those file 'sharing' services that you found all this at, then try this to bollox up the works on it: Take one of your real packages, and completely screw it up. Texture all of it with bitmaps marked 'thief!!!!!', also detach all polygons. When you repacake it, name it the same, and make sure it is as close to the original size as possible. (If it is small, pad it with notes until it comes to the same size) Then join the service and share it like they do with your real files. Those files will spread quickly. Soon enough, people will stop downloading all of those files because they won't know if it is good or bad and it won't be worth the effort. Do the same thing every time you start selling a new package. It will cut down on a lot of that crap. JDexter

I like Rae the way she is. I can see a little of the Asian, but she does look like the Natasha kind, which is good, because there are not enough of the sultry kind of women around. I can see her posed in a classic Tallulah Bankhead pose, with long cigarette holder in hand. JDexter

I used to, now only play Dark Age of Camelot. Would love it if I knew someone here who plays that as well. JDexter
Thread: What is this and how do I get rid of it? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually I used a black 1024x1024 .jpg for the skin map just to illustrate that the eyebrows were showing up even when invisible. Nothing is mapped to any region in this picture except skinhead and everything else is set as Daz's CR2 addition to turn all white. I didn't look at the highlight thing, so that might be it, I will let you know what happens next. I only used the black because I wanted to show that it was not something spurious in the texture causing the funkly eyebrows. I need to figure this one out quick before I lose the image I have in my head (old-heimers) Thanks again, JDexter

Thread: Anyone had problems with Tailor? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am not great at using the tailor (yet) but if you spawn a morph target at the settings you want and save that .cr2 you will see it in the choices for the figure you load into the Tailor. Copy that over to the 'dress' and it will do what you want it to do. Check out Ron Knights tutorials, I think he has one that covers this. JDexter
