- 1 main script for Poser 7 Pro, with new features (gamma correction and HDRI output
- Color Render passes: Diffuse, Specular, Ambient, Color, Shadow, AO
- Special Render passes: Wireframe, Geometry, Displacement, Altitude, Z-Depth.
This script produces AO on the render, the OP wants AO as a texture map, following the UVmap of the obj. Exactly as Stonemason uses for his texturing, see his Hard Surface Textue Painting tutorial :)
Sorry Guys, My bad, I did not completely follow where it was going...
That tut is VERY cool BTW!

Quote - Hi my friends!

Thank you thank you thank you!!!
AJ
Hi AJ,
I too was trying to grasp HDRI, after much hunting around I compiled a list of links over at AerySouls Website that includes HDRI links with freebies, and some good tutorials on the subject as well as some "gearhead" tech links for those that understand the science of this.
Good luck in your ventures

Quote - In my case they're under Poser 7/Poses/DAZ Victoria 4/Morph injections. should be simillar for other veersions of Poser since DAZ won't let V4 be installed into the Downloads directory.
Basically the same...I think the inquiry was, what actually needed to be "injected" in order to morph Victoria 4.2 .

Load V4.2 from the FIGURES Library, Make sure Vic/Body is selected, Switch to the POSE Library,
Find the Victoria Folder/ Click the INJ morphs that you need, Apply.

Lynne,
Is the U/I any smoother on the P7P Mac...
P7 on my iMac seems to get Beachballed alot. Wondering if Pro is any cleaner in the U/I.
(ie: no busy cursor when loading from the library, or the momentary "nothing happening" that the cursor does)
Curious
Thanks

Thread: Question for MAC Computer Users | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Also trying to crank out some poser content in the meantime. Hoping to resurrect my little company. Like Garee said, at lest I'm not using much gas right now!
And anxiously awaiting :)
Best part is it... will work on a MAC too!
What was the question?
Oh yeah, I'll just throw this out there... Being a life long (well computer using anyway) Apple/Mac user, I personally have not spent much time on a Windows based machine, I think the majority from each camp, come from having their first experience on that platform and just staying with it.
I like my Macs because they are comfortable to me. Whereas a Windows machine "Seems" very cumbersome, although I am sure that would change if I where to use one for some time.
I have had several friends that made the jump to a Mac, simply because they came over to may place and used mine for awhile and found it very intuitive.
On the lines of expense, you are all absolutely correct Macs are not cheap seat in the house, but Mac users are not Cult members, a bunch of Rich kids, though some are, or anything other than people that are comfortable in the platform.
I do not believe for a single second that My Mac is Better than any PC, but my application and use it suits me just fine... all 3 of them.... G3, G4, iMac, all purchased as demos BTW ;p

Thread: Poser Pro Released | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@ BH,
I absolutely agree with you POV.
I was thinking, prior to release, that PPro was going to something COMPLETELY NEW
With a totally new content package
(not just Poser7 Reboxed with additional parts)
Guess I am just not overwhelmed, as a hobby / casual user with what has been laid before me as new, Maybe my expectations where too high.
I purchased P5 Full, P6 Full, P7 Full , then tried Daz Studio (just don't like the flow) being a loyal user and customer, this time I'll keep my money and spend it on high end content.

the average home user wants something they can unpack and use. to expect them to be 'thankful' for content that came with a program they paid for, ...... , poser will be judged in part by its content. when someone picks up a poser box or looks at their promo pages, they dont care what 'potential' these figures might have after countless hours of morphing or after third party merchants have had their way with them. they want to see what they can achieve now.
much of the entry level poser market are either people dabbling in 3D art as a hobby, or artists and professionals that need figure visualizations or reference. in either case they will want something that either:
- looks visually appealing
- looks and poses like an average, anatomically correct human being
from what i see, out of the box the poserpro models are neither.
I would have to agree with this statement from a Hobbiest/Existing Poser owner,
Personally, prior to becoming familiar with the 3rd party addons, I simply used what was originally included with my first Poser purchase , P5.
By the time I (now having some experience with Poser) made the upgrade to P7, I did not even use the "included Content", nor did I include it in my runtime. I was just trying to find a less irritating, faster workflow, that was bug free (hahaha) seems like Poser just about becomes stable and then wham, new version, damn! (needless to say,it has not stopped me from using it yet)
I would think (?) that the hobby/casual user would look at just the Poser 7 package and not the Poser Pro.
If the target group of the Poser Pro is the Professional industry, I would have thought there would have been a whole new line of "High End" content.
