Yes indeed, he was put out. You can see his Brother rushing in from the side. Just a nice melted piece of man made frabric was the only casualty. Taking note of your camera settings there. Should have had the forethought to switch mine to ISO 800 I suppose...but then I was on my 4th Tequila, Vodka and Redbull cocktail by then so it's a small miricle I got any half decent shots.... By the way Donald, really love your piccies you post here. I'm only an occasional photographer, but seeing pictures here by you and the others is inspiration to make those that I do take, as good as I can. Thanks :) :) Have fun! :D

I've just got a more advanced Digital Camera than the old point and shoot one I was using. Years ago I used to use an SLR, but it was so long ago I'd forgotten most of what I learnt. So I when to the local bookshop and they had a huge range of books specifically for the Digital Photographer along side the traditional analog variety. You could start by simply grabbing some good reading material. Maybe someone can recommend us a good book eh?

screen capture:
On a Windows OS, just press the "Prnt Scrn" button thats about the inset key (above the arrow keys). The open PSP (or even Windows Paint) and Paste. (i.e. Ctrl-V or pick it from the Edit menu).
Note that in Photoshop you'll need to create a new document first. Photoshop will cleverly make the default size of the document the same as the image on the clipboard though :)

I couldn't resist getting Bryce for that much, I've been interested in it for quite some time and getting the full version for 90 quid was an offer I just could not refuse!
Thread: Yes I'm new, and yes I want feedback. Sorry! ;o) | Forum: Bryce
I've dropped the rear light source to a silvery grey colour, and stopped it casting shadows. It certainly changes the feel of the foreground doesn't it?
The suns have always been behind the cloud layer, though I had unfortunately washed away the visible cloud layer of the sun in post whilst adding the sun "halos". I've tried to tone it down a bit this time. Hopefully making the suns look a little less "fake". Still not entirely sure how to improve them, but maybe I'm trying to run before walking there ;)
Btw, the hill texture is derived from the Eroded Grante material already appearing in Bryce, and then replacing its bump map with a simple Texture created from Noise in the DTE (Stone Cliff type, MultiFractal mode).
The foreground rocks use the "Veiny Stone" texture, but with a very simple bump applied.
Thanks again for the feedback. Maybe it's time to take the next step and move onto another composition!
