If you have Photoshop, load your stone texture, then create a new layer over it. Set your foreground color to white, your background color to black and go Filter: Render: Clouds. Then change that layer to multiply or overlay and reduce the opacity down. This will give an uneven, streaked dirtiness to the layer below. Save this as a new texture. Now your floor stone will look different from your wall texture, and it will be dirtier. You can also try using white and brown for your colors for a more earth-dirt effect. I'm sure PSP would have something similar, but I'm a novice at PSP. Hope this helps, Cres
Thread: A birthday freebie ;o) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Happy birthday and thanks for your generosity! (I probably shouldn't say this, but you do know that you're supposed to get gifts on your birthday, not the other way around?) ;-)

Do you need rough coordinates x,y,zTrans to place the characters? Do you need to know how to get the character in a chair or cryo unit then move the entire thing around? Something else? I have a bunch of camera poses that I'll be releasing in the next day or two which might help with setting up scene shots - I've done 26 so far. (I kinda went nuts with the set last night, wandering around like a new home owner, exploring every nook and cranny.) I can see if I can get some rough poses for figure positioning as well. (I.e. they'd need tweaking so the feet don't go through the floor depending on the figure you use, but it would get you in the general area for different parts of the complex, assuming you didn't move the pieces around.) Is that the sort of thing you're looking for?

I have a free PS action that will do the work for you. (I'm lazy, what can I say.) Just save your original as a .tif file and open it up in Photoshop. Run the action and you'll have a .png file with a blank background.Cheers!

The jewelry looks really cool, but I can't get a good idea of what the tiara and circlet look like - how they fit on the head. Are there any picture of V3 wearing them? Thanks! Cres

The forum page is much smaller on Netscape than IE. It's a bit difficult for me to read and I don't use reading glasses. It's the only site that has such small text Netscape-wise. Putting the Yes/No column to the left would be very helpful. If it seems a little distracting with the column headings, then you could simply use an asterick to indicate which forums have new posts. (It might make it easier for people to quickly see which forums to visit.) I can understand why you might want to keep the posts/threads columns but personally I have no use for it. The last poster column isn't very useful, either, due to the way it is scrunched up. Maybe ditching the year would help cut down on the clutter for that column. That's my 2 yen, Cres
Thread: MultiDress for Victoria 3 | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Will the up-coming long sleeved dress work with the corset add-on, or will there be a similar add-on? (I see so many possibilities with that corset add-on!) :)

Does La La La already have some face morphs in use? If so, you need to turn them off before exporting your morphs, otherwise you'll have those mixed in there as well and you'd be redistributing them. Just thought I should give a heads up on that, Cres
Thread: When does a Poser character become mine?-new to poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nance, you should be sorry! I wanted to use that line! ;-) If you set the morph dials provided with the P4 figure, you can create MOR files which are specialized Pose files that will set the morph dials to your settings. These are legal to sell. If you create your own morphs without using any of the supplied morphs in any way (you can't use any morph even at a very low setting), there are ways to squish the morph so that it is legal to distribute the morph, including selling it. (If you do it the wrong way, you end up giving away part or all of the figure.) If you are new to Poser, I'd strongly recommend using the program for a while to understand how things work before trying to sell anything. There are all sorts of things expected for commercial files, such as MAT files, MOR files, correct zipping of files for extraction, etc. You'll also get a better feel for what will sell and what will not. (Characters are not as popular if they are only dial settings. Characters based on P4 default figures aren't very popular any more.) Hope this helps, Cres
Thread: Putting ny Money where my mouth is! Without Postwork | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No postwork means that the final image was not "fixed up" in an image editing program like Photoshop. Once the scene was rendered in Poser (or in this case, Vue d'espirit), it's done - no color balancing, no blending to fix seams or mesh warping due to posing, etc. Theoretically, the image above is directly from Vue, not opened for any reason in Photoshop (Paint Shop Pro, etc.)
