Thread: LIPSYNC FOR DON AND JUDY | Forum: Community Center
parkdalegardener posted at 10:20AM Mon, 02 January 2017 - #4293233
Any character can be lipsynched, even rocks. Please try searching the regular Poser forum. I have posted the method many times here, Hivewire, PFD and others.
I just looked at Don while typing this and see that he has all the phonemes already. All you have to do is use an existing .xml like Alyson's and point it at Don's phonemes.
You made me really smile with the thought of 'lipsynched rocks' (I now have this vision of happy rocks contorting and singing and bouncing). Although I didn't start with a 'dog in this quest', I'm now curious how you would lipsynch Don via your quick comment and th xml. I searched on 'Lipsynch' and your avatar (parkdalegardener) name here at rendo and a couple of other things.
I got nada. I tend not to have too much luck here at Rendo with searches; they don't seem to be very easy or thorough in general. I'm also not at all familiar with PFD.
There's also several Poser forum threads, not just one. So, not sure which one the 'Regular Poser Forum' is exactly.
Might you have a link to one of your explanations?

Sounds interesting. How can I help? What's Involved?
I'm Poser 2014 Game Developer, though I have P11 it's not installed.
No Daz at the moment.
Thread: How to Shop Sort by Character, Software (Daz/Poser) | Forum: Community Center
Odd place to put such a powerful tool, but it seems to work for the most part. Searches appear to kick it out. Thank you, Kristi. It helps a lot. I hope your team will continue to improve it and make it easier to find.
Thread: Tricks or Treat Door #2 | Forum: Community Center
Coupons Promotions, treats and Discounts Incentives comment.
Treats weren't as fun as I thought they would be.
I feel that coupons should be applicable to PRIME items but not PRIME pricing if you are not PRIME. That is, a 20% item not applicable to sale prices should take 20% off the full price of a Prime item that is not otherwise on sale. Also say a 10% item that IS applicable to sale items should take 10% off a Prime item's sale price, but not apply to any Prime pricing.
PRIME items should be treated as regular items to non-Prime customers, no better, no worse.
When shopping I mentally think of a PRIME item at either it's non-Prime full price or it's non-Prime sale price as a regular item, just not with any extra PRIME discount.
The way Rendo is doing currently it says a buyer has to cross every single PRIME item off their list PERMANENTLY if they ever see a potentially fun coupon incentive. I think this is a marketing mistake. It's not just creating an incentive for Prime saying 'hey I can get a better price on this', it's creating a resentment situation where 'hey I have to take this out of my shopping cart because to me this is a blacklisted item'. Because for whatever reason I've made the decision not to join your PRIME club.
Hope this reads okay. It's meant to be thoughtful not angry.

Thread: Coupon Failure? OR No Discounts on Non-Prime Prices??? | Forum: Community Center
That's too bad. They were wishlist speculative (not for immediate use) so out of the basket they go.
At full price I guess it doesn't make any difference. They're not PRIME to me.
Thanx.
Thread: Changes to offsite linking rules - PLEASE READ | Forum: Community Center
Thank you! A step in the right direction!
Going one step farther, I still also think that allowing links to competitor's sites would be a benefit to Rendo rather than a drawback; . I believe there's less harm than you think because this is a small community and we'll all probably be going back and forth between sites anyway. We all have our 'more favorites' of sites, and some vendors, like Wolfie, make products as add-ons for things on other sites. It's been a pain in the butt when I go to her store to have to manually type in a product requirement that may be in another site other than Rendo. It's not going to stop me from going, it just slows down my decision to purchase the wolfie product along with (or to see if I already have) whatever is the relevant hairstyle required base. I feel you've been working too hard to corral people who most often would rather be here anyway.
Remember the famous scene in the Classic Black and White Christmas movie "Miracle on 34th Street"? There were two competing Department stores in New York in the 1930s and 1940s, Macy's and Gimbels. The Santa Claus hired on at Macys started telling customers to go go Gimbels if Gimbels had what the customer wanted and Macy's didn't. As a result that policy drew in more customers to Macy's rather than less. Customers knew that by going to Macys first they could find what they wanted even if it wasn't at Macys. While it is a fictional story, I believe it is based on a truth in practice; it holds true as long as the links are honest links not schills (SP?) or advertising. I rarely go to Content Paradise, for example, primarily due to their expiring download policy. Or worse, their download extension 'tax'. Having a link to CP is not likely to make me become a bigger customer there, though it might allow me to buy a specific product that I'm looking for. If Daz has something good I'm going there anyway because when I sign in I typically check the major sites to see what's new and what they're all doing.
Just something for you management types to consider.
Thread: What are the Contents of the Big July Prime Freebies expiring 8/23? | Forum: Community Center
Well, it's 8/23. I guess if there were a list I'd have had a "Here's the link" response from someone in sales.
I'm not spending $30 ($29?) just to find out everything is for Genesis/Daz or items I've already bought or textures for items I don't have.
Thanks for the response, Johnny G, and tparo.

I just heard. I am very sorry. I corresponded with Jo several times. I don't consider myself experienced in 3d but my time here is getting closer to ten years than it is to one or two. There are people that I have come to view as foundations of this community and she was one of them.
Thread: these promos cause me problems | Forum: Suggestion Box
Thank you Kristi.
I use Poser only and with the myriad of characters out there can't tell genesis from non-genesis at the glance of a promo.
It helps to be only shown items that work on the software I'm currently using and hence are the items I can buy.
At this point Renderosity is probably correct to add more Genesis and Daz content. I just don't use it.
I like Carrara, but it isn't particularly well supported.
