MallenLane - Here you go - Don with raytraced shadows (thanks for pointing that one out!) You turn them on in light properties, not in render options, btw.

Agreed on the nose - I was reading something yesterday by PhoenixRising that indicated that the glowing nostril problem seems to have something to do with the actual shape of the mesh around the nostrils. Hopefully there will be a fix coming out soon - I could have used my "nostril no-glow" props. The lack of shadow under the nose is probably due to the lighting set up. This is Posette, not Vicki or the new P5 woman. I just was running through the tutorial in the manual, which uses Posette. I wouldn't necessarily blame the problems in the render on the render engine - it's more likely operator lack of experience!

Here's my first, not my usual style. This took two minutes to render with the firefly renderer, no other options on. It took 11 minutes with all options on (cast shadows, raytrace, poly smoothing, using global lighting). I have an Athlon 1.2 Ghz with 1 Gig ram. The hair has 5000 strands, which I would definitely increase.
