I recommending rendering without sound and using an editor like Premiere to add sound later. You should also render to frames (as tif) instead of avi. There are some free editors out there like VirtuaDub, but I haven't used it.

Right now it's difficult to select the handle. I definately agree with that one. I'd also like to see support for DV compressed video. -Mark

You can bring in a bvh skeleton, then you have to characterize it by matching joint names to MB names. It doesn't take too long. I think it's worth the trouble because of the features I mentioned above. Hopefully Daz studio will have an fbx export. -Mark

How do I know if my video card supports open gl? You can go to the manufacturer's website, but if you are running modeling software your video card probably supports OpenGL. What type of video card do you have? >Also question on the new PI Install, is this a whole new >version or is it an upgrade? And Do previous purchasers, >pay or is it free? lol And what if we didn't buy it here? You can download the demo version from http://poserutils.tripod.com/index.html and use your existing key to register it. If you can't find your key, just send me an email and I'll send it to you. -Mark

I guess you could use it for expressions, but I think it's mainly an animation tool. Any non-animators using it?

Here is an animation that I did in MB and brought into poser as bvh. Its one of the stock motions with some timewarp curves thrown on it. I did a tutorial on the subject and should have it online again soon. It's actually fairly easy to get the animation from MB to Poser. Here is what MB has that Poser doesn't: Non-linear Animation (motion blending) Time warp curves constraints floor contacts real-time opengl playback (even with a model as dense as V3) Much easier to use function curves editor Much better FK/IK rig I will say Poser has a much better dope sheet. -MarkThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
