Goofing around with multi-replicate can result in fractal type images. If it would allow for mathematical functions, then it would be able to produce true fractals. (Now if Bryce 6 ever comes out, that's a feature to consider.)

Thread: What Does Your Username Mean? | Forum: Bryce
My username stems from the fairly common practice of combining name(s) initial(s) and the last two digits of one's birth year. Nothing exciting there. ;) Just wondering tho, isn't claymor also a type of land mine?

Thread: WI farm -WIP | Forum: Bryce
I could probably drive north of Russel Rd. and get some pictures of a real WI farm or two for reference if you're interested. But unfortuately I've seen a couple for sale signs. In a few years they'll probably be nothing but those d*** cookie cutter houses. :(

Thread: Dirty enough yet? | Forum: Bryce
Man that sucks... It appears clogged. Not only is it filthy, but theres no seat. I suppose you have to hover if you wanna crap. And where's the T.P.? It reminds me of the shitters at the ship yard. Only thing missing is the cockroaches, piss and T.P. on the floor, and the graffiti on the walls. (And people were wondering why I didn't want to reenlist in the Navy. Putting up with stuff like this after running from the ship because the plumbing was being overhauled. LOL!) Great render though. It does have a touch of realism.

Thread: Ever wanted your poser figure more real? | Forum: Bryce
Errr... I know this may be a whole lot of work, but why not try making a UV map that controls the transparancy channel? But that's my crazy way of thinking.

Thread: Idea for March Challenge | Forum: Bryce
And I almost started to think of being sneaky and making something in Wings and smoothing the hell out of it and importing just so I could get by the metaball thing with my ol' Bryce 4. Heheh... I think I could have fun with the subject though.

Thread: War on Iraq, building the chessboard :) | Forum: Bryce
And here I am expecting a modeled chess set featuring political figureheads and military hardware (something like Saddam and Bush being the opposing kings with a scud launcher as the Knight on one side, and a CVN as the Knight on the other, etc.) I do like the chessboard theme.

Thread: Corel Corporation! | Forum: Bryce
Oh man... That has me laughing so hard that I couldn't see! Not only is this true of Corel in some regards, but I'm sure by changing topic of the first line on the chalkboard from Bryce that it would apply to other things as well (M$, cough cough.) All I can say is excellent!

Thread: Yet another newbie question... | Forum: Bryce
Don't forget about the edges tools in the texture editor and that you can also use the elevation cropping bracket. Just two more options available.

Thread: Hmmm... possibly a strange request for help put please read through | Forum: Bryce
A slight gaussian blur done to the terrain greyscale image using a 2D program will smooth the edges and make it look better as well. Also having a higher grid (resolution) setting on the terrain editor will usually result in a more sharply defined object. You can also have fun with using a black&white or greyscale copy used on the specular and reflective layers. By doing so you can have a reflective & shiny (metallic?) material combined with a plain colored one. I did something similar to this for an emblem I made for a car. (Dunno what I did with it though, maybe I should look huh?)

Well, if the thing about the corners is true... Just select all and do a flip on the appopriate axis. Simple thing to fix really.

Thread: Venting...in a good way... | Forum: Bryce
How about a picket line of poser dudes chanting "We want version 6! We want version 6!" while walking with Bryce logo placards. Of course they would be rendered in front of the virtual approximation of the Corel building. That would be funny. Or another picture that would be funny... A cartoon with one of the "management types in a suit" sitting on the Bryce box. Then somebody pops his head in the office door asking "How's progress?" To which the guy in the suit says, "Nothing's hatched yet..." LOL... Well that's my imagination for ya!

Thread: Bryce's Future | Forum: Bryce
I think What they mean is that the earth is 32 million Polygons around hence the "Expertly Rendered"
Yeah, but it's still no better than the moon without its texture map. :p
Honestly though, I'll be willing to send an Andrew Jackson towards the Bryce fund. If just for an honerable mention somewhere hidden in the long list of contributors towards the creation of Bryce 6. :)
