Yes, it can be done. In the materials lab, hit the Image Texture button (labeled "P" for some odd reason) to use a picture texture. Then go into the Texture source editor. Load the standard texture into the first window, then the bump you want to use in the second window. Hit the check mark and it puts you back into the material editor. Set the bump to the texture A value, and set the value to about fifty for starters.... Exit the materials lab and see if it's bumpy enough for you. You may have to play with the number value to get the result you want (the number may be either positive or negitive, BTW). Good luck!

I had the exact problem Wolfrose had....

Some of the Bryce4 material presets use an alpha channel as the ambiance, causing certian areas of the material to glow in the dark....the mat called 'gilded cage' is a good example. They don't actually give off light, shadows just don't effect them. They render fast, too....

Hmmm, know what you're talking about...it bugs me too, and I have no idea how to avoid it, unless it involves tilting the entire scene in relation to the sky. Looking forward to seeing the skylab in bryce5....maybe they fixed a few things.

I almost always use the fractal settings to get good looking mountians. Ridged multifractal and warped ridges are personal favorites...1024 resolution certianly helps.

I downloaded one awhile back, made by Ghost, but I'm having some trouble figuring out exactly where I downloaded it from....I'll keep looking. I suggest using Thip's robe and mantle for Mike, MCdesign's sythe, and the morphskull to come up with your own. All can be found in freestuff...

One solution that worked for me on the hair problem... Get the hair where you want it, parent it to the head, then lock it.
