I only got a chance to give the site a quick, ten minute 'workout'. The first time around I couldn't get the liks from the Fine Art thumbnials to work, but then when I went back to the homepage and navigated agian, they worked fine. All the other links that I arbitrily clicked on seemed ok. One thing that I notice is that navigating through the links seems very 'snappy' -- I don't know if it's due to real clean coding, the lack of JAVA junk, or maybe you're hosted by a top-notch server. I'm suprised that the larger images load so fast (I'm running a 56K dial-up), yet don't show signs of over-compression. Apparently these images are very well optimized for online viewing. Very professional site. ..and dynamite photography! I noticed that the Fine Art figure studies are all 'one-light' (two?) setups, I would think that it would be good to diversify by including works that use multiple light sources.

I would have sworn that this would have turned out to be a very interesting thread. We got studio still life art photography, depth of field control, lossy compression, post production techniques.. This is some important stuff!

"Just fooled around"?(!) I must admit that I've rather 'rolled my eyes' a little at the rendered stuff. Droyd is big into that - He's an old buddy of mine now for twenty-some years, and he's who told me about Renderosity. THANKS DROYD! (He didn't make that name up for Renderosity, that really is what we call him here in the old home town). Dude -- I now have new respect for the rendering arts. that's the best thing I've ever seen!

NO red-eye feature in PS -- I just read a review that even mentioned that.

Britt: Ya'know, the more I look at it... That second one is something, huh? The pink from that little stripe across the horizon is perfectly, boldly picked up in the spray from that wave. And the wave is in the perfect position.. uh, condition. Hey Hardwick: you took about a dozen shots to get that wave right, right? With, like, eleven duds?

Yup, a pretty frightening sight.

Yikes -- I suppose that if I were awoken by a sound in the night, I'd be bearing arms AND I'd be nude!
