Couple questions, but first I do use dynamic at times and enjoy the challenges, like watching the clothes make the results, and do take my time cause I want great results for a render. Using Poser9 though, it does take quite a bit of time if you're doing 20 or more frames, especually using my 32 bit computer, so Pro 2014 just may be faster at it, a lot of people still don't have Pro 2014 so you can't really use that excuse. Static clothing is largely produced cause it's compatible to both Poser and Daz Studio, dynamic clothes for DS or Poser are not compatible to the other programs, thus static clothes sell more... more users means more sales. I admit though I do wish there were more dynamic clothes on the market, there are times when I see a static clothes and want to drape it in certain ways, still don't know how to use Poser's magnets to get different results.
1st question, where is this "morph brush" some speak of? Does Poser9 have it? It would be interesting to learn.
2nd question, for EClark, what do you mean when you say "export to clothes room"? I'm wondering if you can export static clothing to cloth room to drape it? I know you can export/import as obj, but it's been eons ago and forgot how to do it, so I would like it if someone can refresh my memory on that.

Hey hornet3d, thanks friend!
Ok, so only Pro versions are 64 bit... will probably get a pro version next time I get Poser.
Looked on both computer/laptop...
Computer is 32 bit WinXP, "external binary morphs" wasn't checked.
Laptop is 64 bit Win7, "external binary morphs" was checked.
Strangely I re-loaded a couple scenes with a hair with the known problem (Spart hair by SAV & Sand Heiress hair by RPublishing) on my 32 bit, WinXP computer, the hairs did fine whether external binary morphs was checked or not. Maybe I was mistaking and only had this problem on my laptop, which brings something to mind since external binary morph was checked on it...
Each time I open Poser on the laptop (32bit Win7), it gives me some kind of warning that something's not loading. Can't do it right now, wasn't thinking about that when I started this render, when I finish rendering (probably 30 or so minutes), I'll re-load Poser and copy what it says. I'm thinking it's something that has to do with Win7 & it's stupid thing with "Documents" and "program" folders, I can't instal DS4.5, I don't have this rediculous "permission" (can't remember what it's called).
Will update you here shortly on Poser, and thanks again friend!

Quote - I move stuff between machines via Windows' networking...
I'd have done the same thing, but when I tried to set it up, it failed, then asked a couple of friends & was told that I can't network a WinXP (main computer) with a Win7 (laptop). It would've been nice though!

Sorry I haven't replied yet, I'm transfering everything from the main computer to my laptop, with just a 32gb flash, it takes a very long time, especually putting things on the flash from a 32bit computer LOL.
Will then start playing around on my laptop and see what you guys are talking about :)

Thread: List of Poser Feature requests... so far | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My number 1 wish is for Renderosity forums/sitemail to work properly with firefox... smoke rising off head... lol.
Here's what I chose, I don't understand some of the things mentioned though.
I use Daz Studio's puppeteer all the time to create age progressive & other characters, I use it for expressions as well but unfortunately Daz3D dropped that support since DS4 (thus one of the reasons I still have DS3). The keyframe window in Poser is ok, but you can't go between, say, 4 characters/morphs (like center of 4 dots in DS)
As for Genesis & G2F/G2M, it's good that Daz3D came up with the DSON support, at least it made quite a few Poser users happy, & that's good. I won't argue for or against Poser native Genesis support to be honest (and I'm using Poser a lot more than DS these days, and Genesis & other DSON stuff freezes up my library), I really don't vote either way.
Instead, I just simply understand that Daz3D created this mesh and worked a lot on the program itself to get more support & draw users to use DS, it's what companies do, they do all they can to make the company grow, even give free things out.
Unfortunately, yet fortunately, Poser has been supported for many years with Vicky/Mike & accessories, so Poser users expect native support for Daz3D's new stuff.
Unfortunately 'cause it's upsetting to Poser users (and I understand) and that Daz3D (company) and Poser (the users) are so tied together that everything new's expected to work in Poser. Daz3D is it's own company, they spent their money creating Genesis.
But... it's fortunate that even though the two communities (DS & Poser users) are constantly at war, we're getting along better with eachother then other program users are (as far as I know) & Daz3D continues to try to support Poser as best as could.
In my humble opinion, Smith Micro should pull up a couple of their old characters (as mentioned above) and improve them, and continue supporting/improving them like Daz3D did with Vicky, thus a true competition. Smith Micro/Poser is it's own company too, if they were smarter (and they are getting smarter as these newer Poser versions are improving), they would start work on a character that works natively in Poser instead of relying on Daz3D to do it.
On my final thought, and it always has been... a few customers will always be disappointed whether Daz3D and Poser takes one road or another, it's just what it is... life.

Hey, raven, thanks for that link, this is a very cool & different prop to add to my runtime, I'm thinking to use it as a chiminy (spell?) smoke :)

Huh!! I had no idea you can pan view by holding ctrl/alt/shift, that makes it much easier for me lol. Still, it would be nice to pan back & forth slowly with the scrool wheel, it's annoying that it pans about 10 feet at a time. If there's a way to set that to not go so fast, I'd like to know :)
One idea I would love to have as partial renders is to be able to "lasso" sellect (select only parts you want to render) instead of only rectangle select (with the other idea of not having those blank lines appearing on right/bottom).
Re-rendering an area would be nice too.

Oh, I see. This was the first thread of yours that I saw, and without the sale begin/end info posted, and seeing the date of your post, I had no idea but was assuming it began on that date.
//edit to add// but then I just realized the end of the thread title... smacks self lol
Thanks, friend!

Your annimation & promo video looks good, but was this on sale for only one day? It's not showing that it's on sale.
Just curious... :)

Thread: Custom head morphs in Poser... how? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey, thanks a lot, guys. I grabbed Snarlygribbly's Scene Fixer, since it's an updated one. As for exporting as obj then importing and all that, I'm really not into that unless I want to create a cr2 file (which I do know how to do).
I haven't tested this file yet, but I'm not doubtful it'll work, it sounds very simple.
Again, thanks so much!! :)

Hey, friend, it's all good, apology accepted :) And thanks for the complaiment of my girls! :)
I had no idea that Poser had autoscale, now you have me curious of what to do to make that effect. What boxes do you click?
Interesting moving joints via x,y,z offsets, never tried that before, gonna have a play at that!

Thread: Stephanie4 "Proportions" in Poser 8? Help? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"Realism" ultimately would be nice, I do have to agree, but we only have what recources we have. I do wish I had the time to learn how to re-rig V4 or create a new figure... and to make it popular... only a large marketplace like Renderosity, Daz3D or RuntimeDNA would be able to make it popular, not a simple member. If one of those three marketplace contacted me and made me a deal, then it would be worth my time to go through, learn the things I need, and make it happen.
But for now, it just "is". Right now, people are truly happy with what I came out with.
Man... I really don't want to be big headed or puff up myself, I'm really a gullible guy (my friends know how gullible I am). I simply wanted to give the people what's not available in the marketplace... something unique that no one sees in the marketplace. I really wish vendors would catch on to this "child/teen" thing, there's a market for them, I've seen it.
Poser... AND Daz Studio can use a real realistic child, I agree with that. That's exactly what I want to see come though. And that, my friend, is why I've started this "child/teen" thing, to maybe reach a marketplace and get them interested in making this happen.
I almost joined a contractor of a team who contacted me, but the team failed the contractor... sad deal, it would've been nice.

I've considered Luke and Laura a few times but there's hardly a scratch support for hair and clothes, sales would suffer. Also they're old figures with not much morphs, if Daz3D would've updated them (like people have asked time and again), and make them more popular, I'd have been happy doing them (but then they wouldn't share the same face morphs as V4, thus making it hard to do an age progress figure).
Doing it with V4/S4 with thousands of clothes/hair available, I've made shockingly over and above what I expected with my products, and had not one complaint about the products themselves. Couldn't make M4 look like a kid, don't even know what "OTOH" is (and most likely hardly anyone else do either & clothes wouldn't fit), I don't do male characters anyways and don't like requiring special and/or extremely difficult products to use mine.
Re-rigging or creating a new figure will prove to be financial draining, you have to contact clothes vendors to make clothes for them and most of them don't like waisting time making clothes for an unpopular figure (such as Luke & Laura in the past). Apparently what I'm doing far succeeds what I expected, end of discussion.
Thanks to everyone for answering my Poser technical question, very much apreciated. Good bye.
