Danger, heavy photoshop ahead! Still had a lot of noise after nearly 40 hours or rendering (probably due to the fog) so I decided to accentuate that instead of hiding it by using some film grain filters and playing with saturation.Click the link for big version.

Here's a quickie, just testing out the costume I found.Had trouble with the hair for some reason. Tried two different ones and both kept going through her. I tried setting collision to Genesis and the shirt, but the hair kept going through her arm on both. Used Photoshop to get rid of the worst of it.

This one has spots under both sleeves that won't clear up, but I'm happy with it besides that. Used an IBL and 2 mesh lights, not sure what caused the problem. Click for the nice big version.Thread: Reality Render thread. A new beginning. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I haven't been using RC1 because I had too many issues, so I just upgraded from the last weekly of .9. I see a big speed increase from that, but my efficiency % is exactly the same between the two versions on the same render.

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity
Hopefully I'm within the limits for lower body nudity on this one, I got dinged on the Daz forums once for showing too low below the waist. Click above for the big version and description.

When creativity fails, make a close up of a beautiful woman. Those always work. Just testing my new Ruby skin, and she is gorgeous. I'll definitely be using her a lot more.Thread: Reality Render thread. A new beginning. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - > Quote - I'm guessing everybody went back to the Daz forums... Sigh.
I rarely get notfications of any activity over at DAZ since the changeover so I suspect everyone has taken up knitting or photography. :P
No knitting, just a bad combination of Diablo 3 coming out the same time my monitor died. Had my PC hooked to the big TV which is great for Diablo but bad for Daz.
But...I beat my first round of Diablo this morning and my new monitor came this afternoon, so I guess that's a sign it's time to get rendering again.
I really wish I had money for the Supersuit Pro Suite right now, that would definitely motivate me. Anyone had a chance to play with it yet?

I'm completely and totally addicted to Diablo 3 these days so not giving Daz much attention, but I managed to squeeze one new render in. Click the link for bigger, better version.Thread: Reality Render thread. A new beginning. | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I'm having an issue in Daz, one that's come up a few times before and I solved by just using a different outfit or not fitting it to the character and just placing it the right way in the scene.
First is my character dressed and ready to go.
And this is what happens when I try to pose her.
The skirt gets all screwed up and that little silver bar sticking out from her back shows as part of the gloves when I click on it, although the gloves look fine.
How do I make it not do that? My best guess it that it's a rigging issue where the outfit is trying to follow the shape of her body but I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried "restore selected item pose" but it doesn't do anything like it does when I get strteched body parts on a pose.

Let's see if I can get an image to post here.EDIT: the answers appears to be no, I can't, so click the link above.
Took a short break from playing Diablo 3...to make an image inspired by Diablo 3. I didn't have any armour in my content library that really matched my favorite demon Hunter image from the game manual so this is as close as I can get for now.
Now back to the game.

Shiny new thread but no shiny new renders to share on it. I started a few different ones today but not really inspired and nothing was good. About to leave for the midnight release of Diablo 3, so I don't think I'll be very productive over the next few days either.
So here's a question to start some conversation: where do your best ideas come from? Some of my favorites have started with something like an expression I saw on someone's face or a certain angle I just happened to see an object at when I turned my head that I wanted to recreate in Daz. The subject of the image often comes second.
