Hey guys, I am still a little fuzzy on how to use Bryce's DOF mask in photoshop. Can you give me a clue?
Do you use it in the Alpha Channel and how do you do that? With the Lens Blur filter in PS, how is that used?
Is the DOF mask rendered seperately from the regular render and then copied and pasted into the regular render as a seperate layer in the Channels?
Render me "confused" :b_confused:

Quote - Depth of feild in Photoshop using the Lens Blur function, the Alpha mask used in Lens blur is a Bryce DOF mask.
There is a vast difference in the appearance of DOF when it's Photoshopped(is that a word?) and when it is natively applied within Bryce.

I can position grass where I want it, position lights to show off the grass the way I want it, and if I individually "Object Parent Name" each grass and each light to the perspective camera - it all works just beautifully!Would probably work if I made the grasses and the lights into one group and then "Object Parent Name" that group to the persp' camera.

Since 2002, when I was a college student in Multimedia Design Course at a 2 yr college. Had 3 semesters of 3D artwork in MAX... Believe me, I don't want to go thru that again... Had no imagination then, have none now... But the professor took pity on me and passed me with an A+ (
) I love the animation part ... so I went a little wacky over that ... What you see on my portfolio website is what I did as coursework. 2D work in Photoshop was my mainstay as I use it a lot in my chosen career (web development) 3D is just my little hobby baby... I fell in love with 3D way before pc or mac became the vogue...:wub: back in the early 80's when I first saw "Tron" and brought 2 VHS tape collection of 3D animations
But to get back to your question.... And finish answering it... I'm still at version 5... Can't afford the upgrade. Got it on a student discount and scholarship...

Indeed it is.
I got to try it... Or at least will do so when my mouth stop hurting... Paid a very painful trip to the mouth torturer (dentist). Of course they give you pain numbing things needles and all but it is the aftermath that's the killer... :b_overwhelmed:

Always willing to help? but not quite sure what you mean by 'polish'?
Postwork? make it look more realistic and not like it's plastic.(?) I am sure you have seen some renders that are not quite ready for prime time... And then there's yours and other on the cover of the sci fi ... Those are professionally done. Do you understand what I mean? :unsure:
