Thanks for the welcome vclaszlo... I think I'm gonna like it here... lol! Thank you too to all the wonderful people who have commented on my image - the encouragement is definitely a breath of fresh air compared to my earlier forays into posting here at RR (in another forum/gallery) So far, I don't think I've come across any "fractalist" who hasn't been very encouraging and willing to share tips etc... you guys/gals rock! I've been working predominantly with Apophysis 2.02(f) and am slowly getting an idea of what I'm doing - still pretty clueless on most aspects, but the images that are coming out are definitely encouraging me to want to do more with it... and the fact that the community in general are such great people who don't appear to be threatened when a noob asks for tips - this is sooo much fun! Thread: LIFE IS TOO SHORT | Forum: Fractals
Hmmm... some interesting reading here... some pretty fair comments made by all too... Personally (as an "outsider" to all of the groups here) I reckon that what is being spoken about here is pretty much prolific in ALL the various "communities" here... I have very few of my attempts at digital art on display here actually... "why?" you ask? Well - basically I found that although one of my works garnered me some praise or whatever, what I am actually looking for is comments that will maybe direct me to becoming better at that particular strain - I don't care whether any of my work is popular or gets lots of praise (or criticism) - I would just be happy in the knowledge that someone looked at it and maybe had something to say that could encourage me to do more work in that medium. When people are obviously looking at works on display and decide NOT to post a comment if they like or dislike a work - that is more demoralising for newbies like myself IMHO... That said - I have found the Fractal community as a whole (not just here at RR) are the most pleasant, selfless, and helpful folk when it comes to guiding newbies towards their goal of creating a "masterpiece" - whatever "masterpiece" may mean to that particular newbie... Thread: GUITTA - Good Bye... and thank to all of you for your amazing support !!! | Forum: Vue
I've not been a regular poster to these forums - but I have always held Guitta in the highest regard. She was the first person that offered me help when I found my way here full of newbie questions about Vue... She was patient beyond bounds - she answered my questions in easy to understand terms - she will be sorely missed, even by those of us who did not know her well. Gilles - you have my deepest condolences. Try to remember Guitta as a wonderful woman who not only touched your life and made it whole - but as a much larger entity who has touched total strangers across the whole world. T.

Hahaha - it took me longer than that to make 4 crenellated walls and 4 round corner towers... Luca - we need some tips on how you approach a model and start to make one. Learning from a master would be awesome! T.

Hey Luca! Your models are truly awesome! Any chance of a small tutorial giving us untalented modellers an insight into how you create these amazing models? Nothing too in depth - just a few tips would be great... Thanks, T.
