While we're on the subject of Interface/Usability how about these suggestions: Use the left/right arrow to change sides of the body. For example, right forearm is selected and I hit the left arrow focus moves to the left forearm. Use something like an Alt-arrow to change focus to the same body part on the next figure. Instead of listing the body parts in an incredibly huge menu under Current Element how about using cascading menus. For example, three main selections, arms, trunk/head, legs. Within arms you have shoulder girdle, upper arm, forearm, hand. Within upper arm you have a choice of right or left. When you select a body part of a conformed-clothed figure. The body part should always be selected instead of possibly getting the basically immovable CONFORMED clothing (No, I want the FOOT not the Shoe!) More than one level of undo. Change the name of the shoulder (joint) to upper arm (segment). Collar should be referred to as the Shoulder Girdle (since it includes the scapula too) or perhaps Girdle for short. Please, PLEASE, Please support the context sensitive right mouse button! If Macs don't have it then they wont know that it is there, but PC users will be thrilled.

There are a plethora of messages that address most of your questions. Go to the archives and do a search for Milli, Victoria and Vicki (BTW these are all the same model!). If you can't find what you want to know, post again and I'm sure someone will get back to you.
Thread: poser 2,3,4 models? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Vicki is a new figure from Zygote (see Zygote.com) Differences between figures in 2, 3, 4, and Vicki have to do with quality and complexity of the characters. I think there are huge differences between 2 and 3 and smaller differences between 3 and 4. However, differences between 3 and 4 have to do with detail and movement of things like the hands and feet. Depending on which props they may or may not work with another version

Did you put a new update file up or did you replace the old one. Specifically which file are you referring to? Perhaps a date of posting associated with the link next to the link would help?

Nice idea. It seems to me that the render of the slaves in the pen, since it looks like one blob anyway may be unnecessarily bloating the size of your picture. Question: Where is the light coming from? For the horses and rider it seems to be slightly behind (?), for the pen it seems to be in front (?) and for the walking man I'm not sure there is one.

I responded to some advertisement somewhere asking for a beta tester for some new software that would allow you to place people in various poses. Because of my line of work and research (or perhaps because I was a warm body!) I was allowed to beta Poser 1!
Thread: Posing Zygote Eagle | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
wyrwulf, As I recall the folding wing was supposed to be an add-on, not a whole new model. I'm still waiting impatiently since my school's mascot is an eagle and I think I could do some additional great things with it. I am hoping with the release of Vicki and her accessories that they will get back to the eagle. Sincerely, A person who is obviously worthless and whos opinions are worthless since I do not contribute to Free Stuff
Thread: Renderosity Online Store - GRAND OPENING! | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
You know, I participated in this thread very early on. I posted my OPINION about a change that was occurring. I did not attack anyone personally, I did NOT call the administrators/forum moderators names or question their integrity. I was not thinking of myself (gimme, gimme, gimme), I was thinking of the COMMUNITY (interact, share, bond) and what was perhaps best for it. I ADMIRE the work you all do. I think this forum has (had?) been a model for what forums should be. As you know I inquired about the software because I think it's so great and wanted to do a different forum elsewhere. If becoming a business is what's required to keep it going then fine. But, did you ever think of asking for donations? Did you ever think of dues to belong to a club? Did you ever think of the middle ground between free stuff and a full blown business - Shareware? Hey, people offer ideas, suggestions and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Accept it in the vein in which it is given. Heck, by the looks of things you all took some of the ideas and have made modifications to the store. If you don't want to hear it then act like the moderators elsewhere and close or remove the thread.

As I said above I know this was inevitable. My opinion about the people who run this site hasn't changed - I think they do a great job. I am amazed at how a community such as this continues to exist without revenue. However, I still don't have to be happy about the change and I am worried about how the store will affect this "semipro" site. Only time will tell.
Thread: Renderosity Online Store - GRAND OPENING! | Forum: Community Center
This community was developed by and with people who did not look at this site as a way to pay rent and eat. I have no problems with Zygote or what was BBay, they existed outside of this community. Today, knowledge and information are far more valuable than art, so why not charge for help and tutorials too. I know that the development of the Renderosity store was inevitable as this sites owners have always left the door open for ways to either defray expenses or make a profit, but I still don't have to be happy about it.

--Also posted in Forum news -- I personally see this as an unwelcome development. To me, this community was fundamentally based on the free exchange of information, ideas, and creations. It was a place for the hobbiest (read poor) and not the professional. I have noticed and continue to expect that the number and quality of items available in free stuff will dramatically decrease. (Gee isn't it interesting that few clothes are available for Vicky, but why should someone create for free what they could sell?). To me the establishment of BBay and Zygote's independents page was unwelcome because it took talented people away from the community, but I ignored it. This strikes so close to home it can no longer be ignored. My analogy for this is that I play recreational sports. There is also a semipro league (read paid)in town that plays elsewhere. Today, the semipros started playing at my park, in my league, and has and will take away some of the players I enjoyed playing with. It's no longer play, its business. I congratulate the players who have the talent to sell their services. I might even someday pay to see them play, but today, today is not a good day.
