Thanks, Kate! And thanks for your initial request to get me going and for your feedback along the line.
Thread: New cloak available | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you look at the item in the store there is a picture that details much of what the cloak can do. It's also available on my website: http://www.dacort.com/products_cloak.html I will see if I can put something together which shows more.

Okay, I screwed up the caption. The link is a link to my stuff in the store. DMentia has a robe variety texture pack available which includes textures for my cloak, as well as PhilC's wizard robe, the Zygote robe from the costume CD, and a couple others which escape me at the moment. Check it out. Her work is gorgeous.

There is a poseable hair strand figure available as part of my Sea Accessory Pack. I made it to do free-floating hair strands underwater, but it could easily be used for other things.

I get the same message for my site, too, and I have the link on my index.html page. In fact, every page on my site has the link. I've gotten a couple of referrals, though, so it seems to work anyway.

Here's another one: https://models.tec.army.mil/models/home.html There are a lot of models here. I don't know how good they are, as I haven't had a chance to try any yet.

Import the .obj from Poser as a "simple mesh" in RDS. Then you won't have the seam. But don't try to edit the mesh, otherwise the seam will come back.
Thread: Importing Poser into Raydream Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I export the figure and clothing separately in .obj format. If the figure has hair or is wearing/holding any other props I export those separately, too. Then I import each item one at a time to RDS, making sure to pick "simple meshes" and "only one object". Make sure to import everything before trying to scale or move any of the objects. I import each item, group them, then change the size. That way all the items stay locked in the same relative positions. When exporting figures from Poser (including clothing), I leave the defaults checked in the box that comes up when you export. For props I uncheck "weld body part seams" and check "include existing groups" and "include body part names". This is the method I use most of the time and it works fine, at least for the normal P4 woman (haven't tried with Vicky). Conforming clothing should come out right.
Thread: How to export for Carrara | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh. Sorry, I haven't used Vicky yet. I was referring to the standard P4 woman/man. I've never tried an animation using imported Poser figures, either, so I won't comment on that. To be honest I've given up on Carrara for anything except making morph targets.

In the .obj import dialog, if you click "create only one object", then you will be able to assign a single texture map to the entire figure. The standard Poser texture maps work just fine.
Thread: How to export for Carrara | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't know how to make the textures import with the object. As far as exporting, it depends on what you want to do. If you're exporting a figure to render, use the Poser defaults. Also, make sure to import the .obj into Carrara as "facet meshes", otherwise you'll get a seam up the side of the figure. If you want to make morph targets, then you should check "include body part names" and "include existing groups", and uncheck "weld body part seams". When using Carrara for morph targets, I also make sure that auto-position and auto-scaling are turned off in the import dialog.
