Well, I have a few renders "in the works" and "ready to be ditched cause it's taking way too long", so have been back again with DS default renders (that look good as well) till I get a 64 bit higher powered computer. A 2.5 dual core, 32 bit, 3gb ram, onboard video computer just isn't gonna do it lol. Actually if I get off my butt and get Win7, this computer will be a 64 bit (found that out a while back), and I can add another 5gb ram and a proper video card, but really don't have the funds now. I was just thinking to get a whole new computer instead though, since things are getting very, very resource hogging.
Anyways, this is one of my "lucky success" images done with Reality/Luxrender that's been done a couple months back.
This is Sabrina Blinker, doing a nude photo session with fog and strong lights, when I found out how to do the fog, I was head over heals with it and waited many, many, many hours for it to be done (yea, I'm nuts lol). Even did a second one, which I'll load next :)
Hope you guys like it! And hope this image link works, as this is my first time doing this on this forum.

LMAO glad I'm not the only one that thought that... at least it's not pure white (or glowing) like a few I've seen... lol
WOLFIE!!!!!!! Dude, I have MISSED you!!! Was out of commission for a while, and when I finally got back on my feets, and checked out the Daz forums, WHOA - things had changed, a lot. And folks I'd really gotten used to seeing all the time weren't around - you were one of them. Hope you're okay,
hamsterchickie :)
Hey Hamsterchickiel! (hehe you remembered what I call you LMAO!) :D It's great to see you again :) Yep, I got the boot well over a year ago. Daz3D, it seems, has been boot happy on a lot of people and got quite strict on people expressing their personal opinions on things.
I won't say anything about the unforgiving vendors there, but I do miss being with all my friends. I mainly hang out at DeviantArt and have since met a lot of good folks in the 3D realm as well as other artist areas. I'm starting to hang out here as well, but wish my buddies would come here too, so we can ask questions, help other, and have a good time being friends again. Seems the Daz Studio forums need some traffic.
So what have you been up to Hammie? Been getting good on that excersize wheel? :D It's great to see you hon, hope you come around more often! :) hugs

(bold is my correction) oooooooooohhhhhhh yes, a wolf!! lol :D
Quote - I'm a Firefox user as well. I'm used to having that blasted pop up yelling at me that I can't copy and paste! lol
lol, I was one pissed puppy... err... wolfie (lol) when that started happening lol, it's quite annoying, but because of that, I remember the short cut keys very well. I'm just thankful the html thingy still works for us here, so they didn't neglect us all the way thankfully!

Thanks a lot, Alex! :) Your fox looks EXCELLENT! My goodness when we can render that in DS, talk about hog heaven! I can bet all or most hair vendors will drop their static hair creation and adopt to the LAMH creation, and sales will really rock (well, for those who don't want to or don't have time to create their own hairs)!
Just curious, how do you color the hairs? And can you do something like a random color (where there are two or more colors mixed in the hair) and something like a "fade color to color" (like a dark haird chick dyed her hair blond, then it's growing out)? Or am I going too far in the future? lol :D
Brother Wolff, yes, I do know what you mean by Daz3D's new forum. To them and some the forum looks "modernized" with that color theme and the way it's set up, and most don't have a problem looking at all that white, but yes, they do need to do something for those who can't handle such bright colors. As for all the playing around with colors option... eh honestly I don't care for it, but if they can give the option to change the colors where it's not so bright, they might as well go the extra tiny step to add more color choices. What you said about the email notification, yes, that's terrible, but they'll probably fix that as well.
The thing is, they're very strict to where you can't express your opinion without the chances of getting banned, and they're ban happies, so we over here would like to chime in and encourage our favorite vendors as well, and join in on all the fun :) I'd sure like to see more traffic in the Daz Studio forums here!
Rendo's forums are terrible for FireFox users though, seems they skipped FireFox compatibility (the copy/paste don't work unless you use your keys... CTRL-C for copy, CTRL-V for paste), but I can deal with it, forums aren't gonna be perfect for everyone.
Alex, thanks again buddy! I'm certainly continueing my watch here :)

MY GOODNESS, Alex!! I WANT :) All those videos were so cool, my favorite is the grey/black/white maps for density.
Quote - By Ramwolff: PS.... links at the new forums at DAZ do work and since your doing that here might be worth setting up a thread in the Commercial Forum so you can build more excitment! :-)
Yea, good, post at Daz for the people there, BUT DON'T FORGET about people who are banned there, Daz3D loves banning people (and there are a lot of us) so we hang it here (I like it here anyways)... ;) so don't forget about us, buddy :) ...wolfie

Good advice! I have UE (UberEnvironment) up as well as shadows (raytrace) on lights all the time, never use shadowless (or deep shadow map) lights nor can I go without UE.

DT, gonna sitemail you.
My open comment here, my recommendation wasn't according to the "issue", I still bought it after this so called "issue", but wasn't happy after many testings. You're right, I shouldn't have mentioned what I have coming after saying that, I did bite my lip all day at work lol kicks self So I apologize. I still recommended your CloudNine lights though.

It's the textures plugged into the SSS. I got his first interjection product, whch I was totally dissatisfied with and returned. A lot of people actually returned it, especially people with better knowledge on DS's SSS. I don't have the M4 version but I'm assuming it's the same thing.
What happens here, if I recall, is his settings are too red and the textures blows the mouth and other areas out of proportion and makes them look unnatural. Honestly don't know why his promos don't show as much as when people use them, he's done something extremely tricky, but looking closely you can still see that "too much" areas (such as the mouth). I don't recommend the product but wish there were a better product out there. If you can work in an art program, however, you can tone down that red on the textures, also change the SSS color in DS to not be so red. You can also work on the diffuse color, turn it a tad blue. It's best to actually learn these properties then have to buy product to do the work you have no control or knowledge of.
Also ambient is unnatural for character settings. People don't have "ambient". Ambient should actually be called "glow", as when you render things with ambients on in dark renders, they glow depending on strength and color, blocking the lights/shadows. That's not natural and should only be used for glowing effect. Or simply a cheat thing to make characters brighter in renders (which I never do).
I'll be releasing my new character soon though, with SSS and proper SSS textures, just so you know.
