People, people, people.......a little less touchiness! Firstly I do not consider 'touting wares' as an insult, I myself tout my wares in the UK, my family used to tout in markets. I have no problem with people making money from their skills and I am constantly amazed at the reasonable prices asked for great pieces of work. ALL I SAID WAS......that I thought there was a specific forum for the promotion of work, that's all, just that...Folks..instead of assuming Rena is entirely without fault, first take a look at my original post. Rena..the 1 and the alpha are not ego signs..I'm called Mon in the real world, I assumed, foolishly, that I could get mon as an e-mail address back in the days when the net started to get going. After many variations on a theme I ended up with mon1alpha. So,as a final word........RELAX :)

So, I should ignore things that I don't agree with? It's a forum, not your home...as far as I know, a forum is for open debate. I was simply posting my comment on your post, I did not find a need to be insulting and did not intend to offend you. I was merely pointing out what the majority of people had decided was the best way of showcasing quality products. I agree that the prices you charge are extremely reasonable. You seem to find a need to insult me. I have to say, you're going to have to try a lot harder than calling me 'newbie' if you want to insult me..I am a newbie to Poser. If this is the way Renderosity is going then perhaps I need to find another 3D site that doesn't allow insulting posts.

This is the main problem here...there you are, working on one image (how many ?) well, maybe one or two images, and then somebody creates something that fires off your imagination into a whole new place :) Thanks Mon

I would just like to say 'what a civilised bunch' and I mean that as a genuine compliment. All different points of view, quite often disagreeing with each other and no nastiness. I was slightly trepidatious (without the aid of a spellchecker lol) about what kind of reception I'd get after my comments. While forums are like this we can get things done. Mon

Just my bit....Forums are for asking and talking..Marketplace is for selling. All the sellers are naturally going to say there's no harm but how much of Renderosity do they want? There's a world of difference between showing off your latest creation (we all love to do that) and using people to assess what is, at the end of the day, a commercial product (sounds of Mon battening down hatches and preparing for siege). People can use whatever words they want but folks......it's business, don't pretend it's not. When you go commercial it changes your status, there's no disgrace in that, we need commerce and some of the most beautiful free downloads have come from commercial people in Renderosity. I would be scuppered without the generosity of people who contribute their work and/or knowledge to the big R. Perhaps a development forum is a possibility to consider then those who wish to keep abreast of new products can do so.
And finally..it's just my opinion so please don't get too nasty
