Thread: OT: Haaaalle-lujah! | Forum: Bryce
I don't know... where was I? ;-) If you bought Disk Director from Acronis, you should have gotten a 20% off your next purchase coupon. If you don't have True Image, I really recommend getting it. Besides cloning drives, it has good backup and recovery tools. Works with any type of drive, internal and external. And unlike the latest version of Norton Ghost, it works with older versions of Windows and not just Win2K and XP. Sorry for the commercial. But when your drive starts having write errors or dissappears when you bootup and it's got all your 3D apps and images on it...Waaaaa! TI9.0 has saved me twice so far. :)

I've never used V3.0. If it works the same as with V4.x, then you have to go to the manual placement tab and click on one of the house buttons. Then you click on the placement window to place each house where you want it. You can use any of the texture buttons to get to the window to load texture maps on your houses. The link above take's you to one of my images that uses the houses. I think I used all 4 house shapes. To be honest, the houses are VP's worst and therefor least used feature. Using an image of a house/building and loading it as a 2D tree looks much better. Plus you can then control the size. Bryce makes a great tool for creating objects and terrains for use in VistaPro. If you'd like to chat some more about it, stop by the VistaPro forum. :)-Irene-

Thread: sizes when it matters... | Forum: Bryce
Ummm, I'd think you'd set the document size to 864x130 pixels. What is your monitor resolution and what document settings were you using?

Yup, I have Disk Director and True Image. I'm cloning to a new drive right this minute with True Image. This will be the 5th drive I'm replacing in the past 3 months. Acronis had a nice deal just before Xmas. You got True Image, Disk Director, and one other of their programs (I forgot which) for $59.99. I don't know if the special is still going on or not?

That'll do! And if you're interested, you can upgrade to the latest version for a mere $25. ;-) VP4.2 doesn't have anywhere near the features of Bryce, but it's fun to play with for a change of pace. And it does populate your terrain with trees with just a click or two.

Yup, it's still around. The current version is 4.2.7. We are anxiously waiting for VP5.0 which was at one time due out last month. Doh! Is anything ever done on time anymore?

Did he say it was OK to post the direct link to the file? The e-mail I receive mentioned not giving the model to others. Here's the quote from Patrick's e-mail. "You are not allowed to pass this model on to anybody else, if someone wants it they can write to me."

Cool! Thanks! The archive search here didn't turn up anything either. So it's damn hard to find if you didn't see the original post.

OK, I give up. Where do you get papa saga? I don't see him in the MP, the free stuff, nor life3d's website. :O)

Thread: Anyone else just get a receipt dated today but paid for a long time | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I've got 7 for items bought back in 2000 and 2001. I hope a big e-mail goes out to all explaining it when it gets fixed. :O)

Seems like it's been a lot longer than a year to me. Although, I must say that this is not the only "busy" website that has it's ups and downs with speed. Heck, there are some not so busy ones that are simply awful. Such seems to be the way of the web these days. There are just not enough squirrels in the world to turn all those wheels fast enough, plus they need to stop to eat and poop now and then. LoL! -Irene-

I see the same kind of problems and I'm on broadband connection at home and T1 at work. Sometimes things pop up, sometimes it takes forever, sometimes it just times out, and sometimes I get a speedy "Page not found". :O) Rumor has it that things are being worked on and being tweeked. If and when things will be better (and consistantly so), I have not heard. But it is a known issue.
