Life is treating me swell here, only complaint is that I still don't have a girlfriend lol. Got pretty smashed last night for my birthday hehe, luckily I didn't wake up with a hangover :D
Hey, got a new character goin' on, and am partnered with PDesign, am almost finished :) Hmm, I should post her sneak peek here (in the commercial forum, don't think you're allowed to do promotions on a normal forum)

Actually I think it would only be fair posting updates here as well, I can't post in Daz at the time, but there are others as well that got banned from there (I can, and might, ask for my privilage back, but I don't want to deal with hard nosed unforgiving vendors there anymore). I want so bad to join in the conversations there and there's hardly anything going on over on this side (Rendo thread).
So, yea, like Richard said, bring on the juice! :D lol

Thread: Reality and Studio 4.5 | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Hey paola! Thanks for your upmost love to your customers, friend!
I didn't grab DS4.5 but I wanted to let you know that I did read somewhere in the old forum before they shut down that you can't have 4.5 on the same machine as 4.0, as 4.5 will uninstall 4.0. If I recall, I think there would be an issue as well if they were both on the same machine. If that's the case (and it's all true), I wouldn't advise installing them both on the same machine. I may be wrong though, but just to be cautious :)

Wonderful! :) I'm very happy to hear the fits won't be an issue (at least I'll be able to use the hair again anyways for the same family).
I did figure the dynamics part will take more time, mean while I'm anxious to grab the program as is now!
And now I sit and wait... lol Thanks, friend!

Well I can already say you sold one here lol, that's for sure. And thanks so much for this possibility and your answer!
I can bet that if you get with Martin (Opitex guy at Daz3D), you guys can pretty much create dynamic hair (via export from LAMH/import into his dynamic program), I'm excited with the prospect!
One more question, once you import into DS, will you have the ability to add fits (such as V4, S4, A4, etc...) to use on other V4 characters?

Hey, AM!
Been watching out for this ever since I saw your post here, and am REALLY ready for something like this, I gotta say I'm stunned with the technique shared here and am hoping the script will be ready soon. Is there time frame when this will become available, and where would it be sold at?

Thread: UberSurface 2 Face Paint... help? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Both don't work for what I'm looking for and they change the whole face drastically. Thanks for the suggestion though!
I finally came to the conclusion that there isn't an answer for this after further experimenting, so I'm using newly created "paint face" bump maps instead of the original bump maps, and will use UberSurface1 (original version that came with DS3&4), looks like the creator of UberSurface2 needs to look into this if he really intends this script to add a true layer rather then just the opportunity to add more color with the first layer's bump.

Bryce? I don't even have that program installed or hang around forums specifically for it lol. You may have me wrong, I'm jamminwolf on all sites I sign up with (jamminwolfie at DeviantArt though). But I pretty much go by "Wolfie" on my signature and people call me that.

Gotta say my "hi" too, Barb :) Am not sure if I know you from Daz3D forums or not, but it's good to make new friends anyways, right? :)

Thread: Poser 9 - mesh as a light - how to do it ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow, those are some interesting props you got!!
This share site's the very best one there is, in fact, they have no stupid ads at all even if you're browsing there (but there's nothing to browse lol). https://letscrate.com/
I don't know what the price is now, but they had this deal a couple years back that if you paid $25, you had a life time membership with, I believe, unlimited uploads/downloads. The links to your freebies are odd looking, so it may scare prospect downloaders, but I've never had anyone question me.
I hate the way 4shared changed, I used to like it without all those stupid buggy very limited download speed plus the neisence ads that the other servers have, but now 4shared is catching on to the crap.
Good luck, friend, hope you find a great place, if you do, let us know!

Anyways, just saved ourselves from waisting so much time (thankfully), so then I did everything right this time, your suggestion worked perfect! Uploaded two renders, 1 with a cheap white paint job I just did up (not included in the package) & the other with default textures/settings. The main light is purple (to our upper left a tad), the IDL light is ugly green (above/behind), and the back light is white (in back, slight left).
I thank you very much, bill, and sorry that I was about to challenge you (thankfully I found that mistake), as I don't just rely on people's suggestions and do my own homework, I do my very best to make things look right & natural to give my customers high quality/different/new ideas instead of just "copy/paste/sell", doing away from repetitives. Which is why I'm thankful you're the one that helped!
I didn't bother with the diffuse color idea (yet) though, as my paint jobs are colorful already, but that is a great idea as well! Thanks again, friend! :)
Now it's time to do the DS version, have a feeling I'll have to require my customers to use UberSurface2 (with duplicate everything like Poser), and I didn't really want to do that lol.

Darnit you guys! I'm trying to finish my work here and you guys got me glued to this thread :) lol. So much to learn here and I'm barely breaking Poser (thankfully I have P9) in simple material settings.
Hey, also thanks for the freebies, these are something I'm gonna be playing with and learning (when I finish my work) in the hopes of turning other things to lights. MrSparky (yea, I remember, not MrsParky haha), thanks also that you'll be giving your finished product out as a freebie, I'll be keeping an eye out :) Hope you feel better soon, buddy!
This thread bookmarked! Awesome job and discussions, guys!

Thread: Math Function (Add) on characters... help? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
K... I just did a round of tests.
First, with the "math" node in place (the way I have it set up in image above), I spot rendered to find any seam problems, as well as spot rendered with the default face (no paint), no seams and no differences. I pretty much decided that this is how I'm gonna do. But I tried your suggestion as well.
After replacing the math node with the "Blender" node, left them both white (default), set the setting at 1.000, and spot rendered. It does look good, but there is a slight difference in the way the light's reacting, just a tad... no seam problems that I saw though. Changing the colors back and forth (black/white) made no difference. What I'm thinking here, is that this is one light setting I'm rendering in, another light set may make more difference, don't know, so I'm just gonna stick with the "Math Function", it makes common sense to me that it's serving as a simple extra plug with strength settings & no color to play with.
