I slipped and bought some other stuff on my visit to DAZ, and had to keep up with my sixaholic fixes, but two more weeks I'll have more spare cash. BTW, is Steph better than V3 for morphs and such? I'm curious what people think. I've been playing with the lo-res Steph and the lo-res Vicki and that has been interesting, but I think I'm ready for longer render times.

It is one way to get missing files back. If nothing else, you will have Poser back to restart the project.

I've actually bought a number of V3 characters (that is a long story, involving a contract artist) and stuff ... So, about seventy dollars for V3. Not bad. As for the: " If you do not have Vicki 2 yet the Vicki 2 CD Collection is on sale for $45 no club to join and that comes with textures, hair, clothing and model." Does that include the V2 model when you say model, with the morphs and such? What are the differences between V2 and V3 that I need to keep in mind? Right now I'm inclined to get V3 as most of the characters, clothes, props, etc. I have for a Vicky are V3 based. Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. (If you've seen my characters, etc., you'll note that they are all pretty much fully clothed, so a naked vicky in a temple is probably not in my plans )

What I would like to know is how to compare V2 to V3. I see a fair amount of work done to put the V3 head on the V2 body, etc., and I'm curious to what extent V2 is better or different from V3, etc. Especially as DAZ seems to be selling them both for the same price.

Thanks. I'm using WinXP Pro and keep Explorer as an icon on my desktop for easy access and rearranging of directories. I just wasn't sure if I could move the character directories around. I won't mess with the geometry folders, but it seems that I can create new folders and move the other folders into them, so, for example, all of my BEH characters can be in a folder of their own. Thanks! I just didn't know if that would screw everything up or not.

I'd love a link to a discussion about comparing V2 to V3 and why one is better than the other, etc. Thanks

Hmm, another thing I'd like to see is a better market in used software. I.e., when someone decides to give up on M2 for M3 and wants to liquidate everything. Sure, you can get all of those for free (and more is the pity, especially for the way it hurts the little vendors), but that is immoral and illegal. On the other hand, given the U.C.C. and restraints on alienation, selling software after you decide to discard it should be easier. Anyway, my two bits, probably not enough interest, really. Who wants to risk viruses and everything else?
