Wadus, >will I have to cut it up first or will a single piece mesh >work? You will have to group it, but if you can model in Rhino you probably won't have trouble doing this. I include a practice shirt with the program. If you look at the way it's grouped, you'll get the idea. >Can I make a NEW shirt model for Vicky and use the donor >cr2(I'm guessing the donor cr2 is from another shirt that >fits vicky) and make my shirt conformable, without having >to use the setup room or dials in poser. Yes. Ratteler, That's a good idea. I'm looking into doing something like that.

You need to use the "Constant section" function if the animation palette. See the user man for more info, but you basically select the frames where you don't want movement then click the constant section button (looks like a dash). You'll probably have to tweak because humans are never 100% still, so it may look strange. -Mark

I recommend outputing and editing as uncompressed image frames (tif format). This willsave you tons of time, but require more disk space. Then do final compression of your edited movie in your editor. If you don't have an editor, look at virtua dub. Also if you have pro-pack take a look at the demo version of batchgen in freestuff. Good luck. -Mark

Actually, I should have said "I assume" Daz is going to come out with a basic clothing pack soon. :)

will the material on the arms have a transmap to make em > sheer ? :) It doesn't at this point. Maybe can give that a try. >Could you make some clothing for Vickie 3 that is just >normal? Like just a pair of jeans and a shirt? I wanted to make something more exotic because I'm sure Daz is going to come out with a basic clothing pack soon (like they have for Vicky 2). I'll probably work on some more things after xmas. -Mark

Hi the3dwizard, I'd say the advantage over the setup room is speed and the setup room usually leaves you with a bunch of non-workin g morphs and materials that you have to remove later. QC cleans them out completely in less time than it will take you to load Poser. Hi Phantast, Sorry, you have to re-group. This is a util for conforming orginal meshes that have to be grouped properly. Thanks.

Kattman, I'm am not familiar with your utility. >Oh and good job on figuring out how to get everything >matched, or does it allow matching of incorrectly named >body groups? If not, you will need an update. It comes with a tutorial that explains how to use it. Please see the link in response #5 if you want more info about it. Thanks. -MarkThread: QuickConform - the easy way to turn your models into conforming clothes | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
so are you saying it CANNOT do it? It wouldn't be the >first time a product found a use for other than what it >was intended. PabloS , You would have to do alot of work. A general plan to convert a clothing item from one figure to another would be as follows. 1. Scale the .obj file to fit the other character. 2. Regroup the .obj file to match the other character's groups. 3. Run QuickConform. 4. Edit the joint params. -Mark

Hi, I answered questions about this in the product showcase forum. See the link.Thread: QuickConform - the easy way to turn your models into conforming clothes | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
QuickConform is a tool for clothing modelers who are creating original conforming clothes. It's not meant to be a tool for converting clothes from one figure to another or to transfer morphs like Tailor. Hope that clears up any confusion. -Mark
