OK sir, I've now accomplished the triple play . . . HiveWire, RDNA and now here!!
CONGRATS CONGRATS CONGRATS!!! As I've said before, they couldn't have picked a better person as Product Manager for Poser. :-)

Thread: Unable to complete a purchase . . . | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
OK, never mind. Out of curiosity, I just checked my account, and the Order page has the PayPal Click Here to Pay button, so I'm all set.
Since this has never happened to me before, I didn't realize purchases would go into a "pending" hold. Glad that was easy to get finished. :-D

Thank you heddheld. The mesh is actually my first attempt at hair, so I may not have a need for this now, but certainly good information to keep handy.

Thank you keppel, I'm going to keep these in mind as well.
Quote - If you loop select the row of verts/edges in the uv image editor window and then press the "W" key a range of options will come up to straighten the selection. Selecting the "Auto Align" will align your verts along the axis that is closest to that which the majority of your verts are already aligned to. "Straighten" will align your verts along a line between the first and last verts in the selection. The other options align relative to the defined axis. Another technique that may assist you in the example you have given is to unwrap your mesh using the "Follow Active Quads" option. To use it look at the mesh you want to unwrap and select a face that is still a quad. Use the "L" key to select the remaining faces of the mesh. Press "U" to bring up your uv mapping options and select "Follow Active Quads". There is a box that appears where you can choose one of three options. The "Even" option will unwrap your mesh so that all the faces have been laid out in a perfect grid.

YAY!!! It works a dream. Only thing is, I thought horizotal from left to right would be X axis, and vertical up and down would be Y axis, but then I remembered that Blender doesn't do the X,Y or Z axis like some other non-modeling 3D apps.
Thanks Lobo, that just made my day. :-D

Thank you for the quick response Lobo. I'm going to make a note of these steps and try it out. :-)

Thread: ARGH! Help! updated windows!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey David, I haven't used Poser in many years, so had no idea this problem has cropped up before.
Since I don't use IE for anything except emergencies, I thought turning it off was a fine idea. I've wanted to uninstall it since IE 4 screwed me up forcing me to switch to Netscape 4, and eventually to Firefox. I've never looked back, but always updated IE when prompted just so I wouldn't keep getting a notification that there was a new update. Turning it off will mean I won't have to worry about that constant update notification, and that's worth it to me.

Well I'm back to tell you good folks that I read the article Laurie linked to and did the suggested actions to remove IE from my Default Programs list, turned off IE altogether and did a system restore to last week. I then had about 9 Windows updates to download and install (I don't have it set to do automatic updates), and now I'm a verrrrrrrrrry happy camper at the moment, because . . .
I'VE GOT MY POSER 9 LIBRARIES BACK!!!!! :-D
Needless to say, I won't be prompted to update IE any time soon. ;-)

OK, I'm not having the same problem, but I am having a problem since updating IE to version 11.
I never do automatic updates, preferring to have Windows notify me of available updates. That way I can save, close and shut down whatever apps I have open. That said, I did updates last Tuesday and everything was fine, but yesterday I was notified of the IE 11 update, and even though I don't use IE as my browser, I usually update it . . . just in case. Now, of course, I'm sorry I did.
My problem is, my Libraries panel in Poser 9 is not loading. How do you work without your Libraries panel? You don't. I had posted at RDNA about this and was given a link to this thread.
Thanks Laurie for the link on How To Turn IE Off. I haven't tried opening P9 yet today, though I suspect nothing has changed. I'll be trying English Bob's suggestion of rolling back that update and hope it works.
Wish me luck!

Thread: I've lost my X, Y and Z directional tool | Forum: Blender
I know Robyn, and the older I get, the worse it gets. I can be in the middle of a conversation with someone on a topic I know very well, and all of a sudden I can't remember the name of something that I'm trying to inform the person about.
I suppose I could blame it on the fact I'm going to hit my 7th decade in October, but I try to keep the mind active every day so I can slow down the aging of my mental processes, but there's just so much you can do, if you know what I mean.

OK, I really feel stupid. I just realized after reading both your responses that I used "G" to grab the vert(s) to move them. :headdesk: It's been a while since I've played in Blender, and especially in the UVImage Editor, and I totally forgot that was the only way to move anything in that view.
I've been using Blender since version 2.49, so I'm really feeling like a n00b at the moment. It's tough getting old(er). ~sigh~ Thanks both of you for responding.

I agree. I've been using it for a number of years, but not on any regular basis, so probably would still consider myself a newbie where Blender's concerned. ;-)
