Whatever happens DO NOT UNINSTALL DS 2.x.x!

This is a real beta, it can't replace your DS 2 (and it will not, since both versions install side by side). Over the weeks (months?) they will release new versions with fixed bugs, added functionalities so untill the day they release the finalized version you have to run both.

Nobody is shooting at Poser here, for the moment Poser is still a must for content creators, this may change some day. But use whatever males you happy.
We are just a bit excited to test DS 3, great stuff is coming!

Uninstall/delete all and run the installer again, it should find DS without any help and install the needed files in the right places.
You'll find the shader and presets in your Studio folder when in Tree-view.

That is ok with me, there are people who feel more at ease with Poser, although I tend to avoid those peopple. ^_^ No, just kidding.

Just try to use DS a bit more and you will see that at least for placing the lights it will be far easier, since you can look through the lights to place it at the point.

For the moment little do we know, but there "should" be volumetrics in DS 3, if you read beneath the lines in the DAZ developper forum.

For the rest, we can only hope the best, but I think in general Version 3 will be a big step into the future, adding some ssential possibilities that DS 2 is lacking.

Till the release, we can only wait and see (and dream ^_^).

When will this stupid "Poser bad, DS good - DS bad, Poser good" war end?

Use what ever makes you happy and let the others do the same.

I use both as well (no that is a lie, I use Poser only for Vue -export) and I do have my preferences, but when I look at a picture, there are many other things I do before asking the question: What did the artist use to make this image?

Just for some stuff to think about, I really would like to see here a "3D-art" gallery, open for all 3D images, nothing  put into boxes, just to let the viewer look at an image without knowing what program has been used, to really see and appreciate (or maybe not) the work.

Why should that announce the end of Poser?

There are people who are comfortable with Poser, there are others who prefer DS.

It is the artist who makes the image, not the app.

When you use Categories, create a Scene folder in the view and create other folders inside to organize as well your scenes.

Before saving the scene just open the right category, click on the + sign or use "save as". This way you can get the scenes organized to your own wishes without to much hassel.

It has always been this way, quite handy when you use the categories!
