We're not sure, but it started under the driver's side dash. I'd just checked the oil levels not too long ago, so we dunno. Could have been a gas leak, or a sudden short that caught the rubber tubing on fire, ETC. In the end, the entire front of the car went up in flames.

Yeah! The problem seems to be that it was on fire! ;)
Luckily, the gas tank was full, so it didn't explode.

No, I stopped the car and got it off the road and away from other vehicles, grabbed my cellphone and got out. As I was walking, very swiftly, away, the driver's seat started smoking and went up like a birthday cake's candle. I was on the phone with 911 for approximately 2 minutes. I took that picture right after I hung up, and then called my mother to let her know what had happened and that I was fine, then called my aunt to do the same. The only problem I had was very warm shoes for about 15 minutes after I got out. If I'd had my canvas sneakers on, I might have had a problem, but I had on my workshoes, which are rubber Frogs by Shoes for Crews (very comfy).
The worst part is that I was in the process of moving back in with my mother. I'd left a lot of stuff at my old roomies' place for the winter, and was slowly working stuff into my mom's basement as I had time. Had a bunch of minor stuff in the back of the van, most of it books, tax forms from the past few years, ETC. Had some old drawings in there, too, and one of my favorite pairs of shoes in the passenger seat.
And, of course, my mother's medication, which I had just picked up from the store. -.-

Stay strong and keep fighting. Knowing what others have gone through with their cancer treatment, keep your head held high and know that there are people who you may never and probably won't ever meet wishing you well and a swift recovery. We lend our strength to you, so that you can continue fighting.

Asian eyes have always fascinated me, since I was a very small child. My very first crush was on a very cute Japanese boy, when I was in third grade. He was my best friend Miwako's older brother, and was absolutely beaaaautiful. <3 Ten years later, I ended up dating a beautiful young man from Hong Kong, and we might be getting married this winter... :D

I've considered it, Hawarren, but it's difficult to find a texture artist that's interested in sharing the responsibilities like that. Most of them want to make characters, and textures, too. :) Working on a cute face-morph add on for A4/G4. :)

Thread: DAZ Kids Unleashed! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For me, learning Daz|Studio is like learning to draw with my left foot when I can already do it very well with my right hand, and OK with my left hand. Why would I want to, when I already know how to do it in another program? Yes, I love the way some of the D|S renders look, but I'm learning how to get that look in Poser more and more every day. I don't use D|S. I've loaded it a few times and tried it out, but it was JUST counter intuitive enough to be offputting. It's not as close even as, say, Photoshop and Paintshop and GIMP. It's like learning an entirely new method of the same damn thing. ;)
As for the kids, I grabbed the free bases, but likely won't end up doing anything with them beyond background in an image, maybe. I already have the Gen3 kids, and morphs to make them look decent.

Many thanks to you both. She was definitely a labor of love, and I'm working on some more make up styles, as well as alternate face morphs (such as a more accurate/pleasing blink morph), for release in the next few weeks.

And, at the risk of being spammy, some recent promo mockups I'm working on, now that she's finished. She's been a work in progress since late 2007, as I've worked to make every detail as accurate as I could, and a labor of love, for sure. I honestly feel no product out there accurately captures the beauty of Asian people completely, not even Aki, here, but I think she's very close, in my apparently not so humble opinion.
