Alexa was pulled because we found out a year after her release that Alexnest had stolen the feet and copied the GIRLS mesh lines for the head. There is a good explanation here on what happened. We are re-working her after Alexnest redid the head and feet to remove the stolen meshes he used in creating her. Mark

Well, 3DCommune didn't release Alexa to jump on any bandwagon.. :) We wanted to have our own character to get into development and after all that has happened we're still happy to be there and we are deep into it now. Personally I think it's a ton of fun and a great learning experience for everyone invloved. I wish we didn't get burned on Alexa with partial stolen mesh work but all in all it's been a great experince so far. I applaud Renderosity for also joining in that arena or RPPublishing or whatever you're calling yourselves now. Unfortunately all the problems you're having now are due to releasing her too soon before you put her though all the hoops. This is EXACTALLY why we are NOT releasing Alexa again till we have her just as we want her. We want to make 110% sure everything is right before we give her back to our customers and the community. I would rather wait then have something like this happen. I think she looks nice, a little too much like V3 for sure and I would have thought you'd want to do something a little different as well with all the competition out there. Good luck with her and I do wish you all the best with her. Personally I would pull her, fix her, and spend the needed time to get her right and then re-release her. No shame in that in the least, unless you just keep pushing forward with blinders on. Hope you make the right decision. Mark

I would like to say who it is but I think the majority of you already know. For legal reasons I can not release the name but I will say that's it's already been typed into this forum.

Not intentionally but as part of another name of a forum that was hacked too.

Just look for it... it's pretty EASY to spot.

I also want to say that this is a horrible loss to not only 3DCommune but to it's members, staff and especially PusGhetty. Michael's work, time, tutorials, WIP's and much more were ultimately affected and lost.

If anyone has any information on this person please let us know.

Wow interesting thread for sure. :) Howdy folks, Mark from 3DCommune here.

Lot's of fun points back and forth on this one. I don't persoanlly own the GIRL by Daz but she does look nice. Kim did a great job on her way back when she was first developed.

Alexa is our (3DCommune)'s first ever model besides our Bryce Woodies and we thought we did a pretty darn good job with her. Of course she's not perfect and for our first model ever we've very proud of her. She's done extrememly well since we've released her and she's still selling well as are all her clothing items and accessories. We still develop new things for her and we have a freebie of the week for her every week at 3DCommune.

If you notice Alexa comes with some killer items just as a base package for only 29.95! We felt that it was a first by adding so much in a base package for that price point.

Also we had many, many great artists and vendors that helped work on Alexa so it was really a group project by us. We had people like Nerd3D, Schlabber, Brycetech, Alexnest, FK Designs, TheRendering, CarolineG, ArtRO, Spanki and many, many others working on Alexa and her add-on's.

Daz has done a great job with GIRL's promotion and coming out with a nice set off add on's for her.

Interesting posts for sure. :) Personally I like realism in 3D but now that we have our own toon character I'm having way too much fun playing with her. Just to clarify a few things, Alexa is 29.95 and she comes with over 90 morphs, a catsuit, poses, toon and real textures, skirt, top, shoes and several mats and transmaps for the catsuit. Hi folks. This is A1HostCoMark from the Commune. I know you never see me post here. :^) I also wanted to ask you to please do the right thing here and not lash out at Ian for what he did. I'm not defending him or what happened but I personally think that in light of what happened today that we all try to do the right thing and start somewhere. I was the one asking for the community to ask Ian nicely to reinstate George's status at the PFO. Banning the PFO or boycotting it or asking EGI to not host him anymore or whatever isn't the solution. The solution is to band together for once towards a common goal. Between all of our sites we are a powerful voice. Let your voice be heard as bearers of good will. Thank you. Mark
