Basically the only part of a Poser material DS can use is the old Poser 4 material section, anything that only uses the Material room setup just won't work in DS.

If you want a 40 series you also need to get one of the newer ATX 3.0 PSU, they have the ability to "talk" with the GPU to control it's power draw, or you'll end up with a desk fire rather than a PC

The new shader is in the "Default Resources for DAZStudio 4.15" pack, which replaces the previous "Default Resources for DAZStudio 4.9" pack.

It's only the dress surface that has this issue the other two work fine, it's a hidden setting or something but I'm damned if I can find it. Simple remedy is to copy and paste one of the other surfaces onto the dress surface and work from there.
Found it, Image editor is being used on the Base Color of the dress surface, horizontal tiling has been set to 2 instead of the default 1

The low res V4 came about due to the free content that came with DS2, DS1 had V3 RR and a fairy woodland scene, DS2 was a 17k poly V4 with a beach scene rather than the full mesh as an LE, the content we got with DS3 was pretty much the same as DS2.
If you have the free content for either DS2 or 3 then you have a CR2 that uses the 17K poly mesh, it'll take V4's textures, but not any of her morphs.
The LoD system in DS3 and 4 can transfer the active morphs to the LoD version, no idea if you can get them out of DS and into the Quick Start CR2 through.

Paranoia about what info it's sending back the to evil DAZ Corp, trying to avoid being under Big Brothers thumb etc, etc. Funny part is they have been under Big Brothers thumb from the day they were born, they just don't realise it.
I use DIM but only for downloading, only real issue I have with DIM is installing software with it, I'd rather use an installer for that, especially on a W10 system. W10 is one seriously paranoid pos, I recently had one pita moment where W10's security systems seen the CMS as the parasite program it really is, and blocked it from running, took me a couple of hours to convince this pos to leave it alone.

My opinion on the lack of braincells in the community, vendors & staff alike is well known by the mod team at least, going by the few hundred posts I've had deleted on similar subjects.
So it's no surprise to me that the bridges are DIM/DC only, even then there were quite a few "I'm too stupid to get this to work" posts and threads, so even locking it to a DIM/DC download doesn't make the system "idiot proof".
Which is a big problem when you have a "captive audience" full of people like that, it doesn't help that DAZ have catered to the "load, pose & render" mindset for far too long, treat people like idiots and idiots is what you get, and tbh there are only two real ways to make anything "idiot proof", one is to keep them as far away from it as possible, second is to educate them, that way they are no longer idiots.
DAZ haven't done either.
As for deleting your accounts, talk about cutting your nose of to spite your face, best part is they will still be there, if you have spent money on digital content then DAZ can't just delete the account, by law that content has to be available for you to download for as long as DAZ exist, all DAZ have probably done is locked the accounts.

Basically anything that isn't used during "Load, Pose & Render", hell even Debut has unused "Features" as far as the majority of the user base is concerned.

When you have two mesh overlapping each other like this, especially with Opacity, Iray has a problem "telling" them apart, so you start to see weird tints and render artifacts, and it gets worse the further from "world center" the items are.

Only Lua Updo I could find is one sold here by 3Dream, it's a V4 prop hair. Did a few phonecalls and had it confirmed that this hair has a huge skullcap, it covers V4's eyebrows at the front.
What you are seeing is Iray's reaction to that skullcap, the render engine has problems when you have two mesh overlapping so close like that, the results are weird tints to render artifacts the further from "world center" the items are.

ROFL, just found out this is a freebie and after having a quick look at it you can ignore most of my last post, the part about "clueless" is spot on though. Newbies I tend to point out where they went wrong and how to correct it, Pro's or people who should know better tend to get it in the neck from me, which is why I keep getting in trouble over at DAZ.
fuLLm00n1 is a double sided disc, it loads in face down, X rotate 90 will show the back of the disc and an upside down UV, X rotate -90 will show the front with a right way up UV, going by your textures at any rate.
fuLLm00n1_nbf is half a double sided disc, problem is you removed the wrong side, you removed the front instead of the back, X rotate 90 and in DS setting vertical tiles to -1, can't remember if it's U scale or V scale in Poser that's vertical but setting the right one to -1 will fix it.
So no need for custom UV's, just a better understanding of how things work in DS and/or Poser.

Whenever I see a mesh with "upside down" UV I have to wonder has that mesh been mirrored, as only an idiot would UV it that way. By mirrored I mean built and UV'd in a program that uses the vertical Z axis.
Not only does swapping Z to Y axis mirror a mesh it also flips the normals, been so long that I can't remember if Poser shows backfaces or not, by default DS has backface lighting on, so it doesn't show them. This is one of the issues most have no idea about, not only are they working with a mesh that's been mirrored, but it's usually inside out.
In DS hit F2 or go Edit > Preferences, click on the Interface tab and just past halfway down you'll see a label "Backface Lighting" set the button next to it to OFF, click Apply then Accept to lock that setting.
If the mesh is now black in the viewport then you know the mesh is inside out and has been mirrored either top to bottom or left to right. Chances are that a check of the surface settings in the PP2 would show the U and V scale set to -1, which would show they knew something was wrong but was clueless to what it was.
You can do the same "trick" in DS using tiling, so no point making custom UV for it, especially as Poser can't use it.
