I've had a Makergear M2 3D printer for 2 months now. These things are a trip to watch, it's almost mesmerizing.
I was thinking of doing some sort of 'image to geometry' work, but I was just going to use Bryce or Terragen to do it. This was only an idea to put maybe someone's picture on something, etc, never even thought about rubbings.

Well I guess I'll have to deal with work-arounds until it get's fixed. It's a shame, the physics are the main reason I purchased it and now I find out how extremely limited I am.
Oh well, I can still manage quite a bit, just requires more work.

No, it's empty. I've tried with the Poser primitive bowl and I also made one. Same results. I also tried splitting a bowl into 4 sections, to see if it would work like connected ramps, but got the same result as well.
I made a 3 part spiral (bottom, and 2 sides) to see if ball would follw that, same result. I tried that scenerio with the spiral imported in 1 piece, and all pieces imported separately, and all turned out the same results.

I made a brick wall about 2 years ago, all individual bricks, that would be perfect for the Bullet Physics. Unfortunately, it will be a while before I can upgrade Poser to be able to even use it.

Let me run it across the staff and see where it goes. It's not a bad idea, and might even give a legal route for people wanting to use clothing and stuff in Second Life, since there is an issue of our vendor's designs ending up on there.

Any image / animation you create with purchased models require no additional license to distribute/sell. So you can add renders and animated elements to websites, Flash animations/games, etc.
As for in actual games, like a 3D 1st/3rd person game, I'm not so sure products here would be suited for that application. These models are made for best/smoothest look. Models for games are more optimized for such use, i.e. triangulated, low poly, usually have all uv maps on the same 'page' to cut down on resources, etc.
But, you can always ask and see if there's any modelers out there that can help you make game ready models.

Upon experimenting, I'm not so sure it would work now, not getting results I thought.
But in postwork, you could easily do it.

Well enabling IDL would turn them into emitters just by adding the ambient edge blend, and yes, if you can tolerate the render time hit, you can add some atmosphere to possibly get the glow around them, or at least, one would think.

No, it's the Bullet Physics engine
And Fugazi, a while back I made a brick wall, all seperate bricks, but I don't own the new Poser, so I technically can't even use it correctly yet.
As soon as I upgrade though, it's the 1st thing I'm trying out :o)

All Products are hosted here on Renderosity, and now Freebies are as well. As far as I know, the only things that aren't hosted here are some older freebies, that were uploaded before Rendo started hosting the files.
