I almost can't help but feel that the above is a bait of some sort, given the political climate ; ) Of course, we'll let it slide because we're responsible adults, right? :D

Thread: Millenium puppy is out! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Because it was originally due to the fact that the breeds were used as hunting animals, and drooping ears and non cropped tails gave the prey animal something to grab onto. Afterwards, it simply became a trademark of the breed. Part of the criteria by which it was judged to be a true [insert breed name here].
It really serves no other purpose, except dogs with excessively floppy ears often suffer from infections more often than if they had been cropped. That has to do with the floppy ears fostering a dark moist environment that bacteria thrive in.
Mkay. I'm out of useful information : )

Thread: Bondage gear and moral aspects | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - The decision to remove bondage gear and sexually related items happened some time ago, in order to make the site across the board, more "family friendly". For example, it is far easier to equate plain simple nudity with inoffensive art than bondage wear, which, artistic or not, is generally considered overtly sexual.
I've always had issues with the whole 'family friendly' approach. I've always felt it seeks to remove responsibility for a minor's guardian responsibility to monitor and control what information/programming/exposure said minor has access to.
For family friendly, lets go to disney.com, really, nothing possibly offensive there. Though I'm fairly certain someone can find something offensive about it.
The point? Its rather vague, but, it boils down to: If you're not comfortable with it, fine. But dont' use the concept of 'family friendliness' to do it.
Its renderosity's store, and they have every right to control the content, especially if it has to deal with being in accordance with local laws.
Just be upfront and say it. But really. I'm not trying to flame or be trouble, just staing an observation : ) Either that, I've totally missed the boat : )

Originally, true. It was designed as an artists tool. But I think over the course of its growth from one version to another, its transformed into a digital imaging tool, and thus those sorts of anatomical principles need to be taken into consideration. But what do I know? I can't even model a stupid piece of clothing or prop for Apollo = )

It makes me wonder, why this isn't the way poser figures are created? Maybe I'm not wrong, but it seems that the Uni-mesh and e-frontier figs are created with only the skin topology in mind, and not with the underlying structures that define how the skin stretches and bends, thus creating our posing problems before we even get the figures : )
Thread: "He who must not be named".. coming soon for Apollo Maximus | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oooo... Apollo as a dementor... nifty. Now if we could manage Apollo as Nymphadora Tonks, what with all the meshes morphing capabilities, it would be perfect for that character! :D

Well,
I would like to see our own forum, and if possible, our own gallery. It wouldn't be difficult would it Karen? Given that it would be just another category of images. The same number of images would come in regardless, so its not an additional strain on the site. In fact, wouldn't it actually relieve some of the load on the site because you'd have people getting in que to go to a fairly particular part of the site rather than the whole Poser gallery?
Just my thoughts, as small and insignificant as they are.
