Thread: Crazy Ray - EP1: In the Park (Short animated movie) | Forum: Carrara
Quote - Nice work. Love the scene cuts and facial animations. Do you still play with Legos? ;-)
Glad you liked it, Mark.
My grandson is the one who inspired me to create movies with Lego characters. But lately I see the fun in using Legos in movies containing adult subject matter (this movie is not exactly age appropriate for him). I have a lot of Legos here at my house, so he (and I) has some to play with when he has a 'play date' with me. ;-)
Thread: NEW official Intro to 'Zey The Mouse' fimo animation! | Forum: Animation
Quote - Ive never heard of thos mprograms, i guess it's coz im not into CGI, good old fashioned!, your grandson may well enjoy stop-motion making, as ive seen a lot of children get into it :).
I'm half way through the filming of 'Flying a Kite', almost finished the 2nd set!
Stop Motion Pro has made this possible, i hope people, and fans will enjoy what ive put together,??, ive gone to a lot of trouble in going over everything a thousand times, and have made lots of adjustments!!
When I referenced 'DragonFly' I meant to type 'Dragonframe' (I guess I was tired), which is another stop motion animation capturing software (similar to Stop Motion Pro). Sorry for my mistake. Anyway, I'll probably have to do a test movie on my own using my grandson's Lego's (to give him an idea of what could be done with it)...
I like your hand crafted sets and characters. They look like they could be a lot of fun to make. :)
Thread: Is this forum new? | Forum: Animation
Interesting discussions surrounding Poser. I have Poser 2012 and was very interested in doing a test animation with it, since it has cloth dynamics and appears to have better physics implementation than Carrara. I attempted to bring my own custom characters in, but had trouble with the rigging and this led me to question why everything, including clothes, are figures, etc. I went running back to Carrara with my tail between my legs. But I plan to try Poser again soon, but this time customize an existing character asset (I have a few apps I purchased and need time to test including Lightwave and Poser; perhaps I'll do a combined test using Poserfusion (but it appears I cant use Lightwave render nodes with Poserfusion)).
Animation is a hobby, but I have eight systems that I use in my Carrara render farm and would use those to help with my Poser renders. Since you guys are the Poser animation experts here, I will reach out for your help, if needed. ;-)

I agree with Ivy. Can't wait to see the characters animated. : - )
My CG animation has been done using Carrara and iClone. I haven't done stop-motion animation yet, but I purchased Dragonfly (after seeing it was what 'Brotherhood Workshop' uses). I figured I would get around to using it with my grandson.
Have you tried DragonFly?
