Thanks everyone :). Madred - The neck will look longer by using the y scale dials to extend it a bit :), Look for another freebie texture for him sometime soon - I found some reference pics of giraffes with smaller spots. zett - Lyne is working on some morphs for the Komodo to get him to look more like a crocodile, those should be posted sometime soon. I've seen some previews of them and they look pretty good. An elephant is a good idea - do you prefer African or Indian :).

Thanks to all of you for your kind words :). I have a lot of fun making these figures. Lyne did a good job with the moose morphs - (she also has morphs at Poser world for the Poser Horse, and the Zygote Eagle, Bloodsong also has some handy morphs there too - for the Horse and Cat :)

Here is the URL with a page of pics of the owl with no textures, with just materials applied, and with the barn owl and great horned owl texture applied. http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Coffeehouse/4474/example/owl.html I've stretched his wings a bit to show you what he can do. The last picture I used a little transparency in the wingtips :). You can get a free version of this owl with folded wings for perching at www.bbay.com

Thread: I want more info re "the spherical falloff zones" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Here is what I've discovered so far - Everything in the body part that falls within the Inner MatSphere is affected when moving the joint - Everything between the Inner and outer Matsphere is a blend zone - Everything outside the outer matsphere is not affected when moving the joint - You can scale the size of the falloff zones with the scale dials. I've found it handy using these on shoulders, thighs and ear joints to help minimize distortion.

Glad you like the owl Diane - I hope to be doing more animals soon - I like the way you used the sketch renderer, gives the animals a whole new look :).

I use Poser 4 to import a solid, ungrouped mesh, to slice up the model. (my modeller doesn't export groups) I made a Beluga whale this way (on Funstuff) Just use the grouping tool in Poser 4, (setting the display on a wireframe view will make your grouping easier). After grouping and naming the parts of the model hit "Spawn Props", then go into the Heirarchy editor. Bloodsong is right about the joint parameters, they are a bit tricky to learn, and have to be adjusted after you create the figure.
