Quote - The neck wasn't that good, I agree. Here is an updated version in the modeler, without displacement.
Looks pretty good so far bantha. I'd suggest trying to tighten up the area at the base of the neck where it meets the shoulder. Right now her trapezius looks extremely thick. Also, unless you're going soley for a thick sweater material, I would tone down the thickness of the cuff folds. You could always "puff them up" with displacement. BTW your displacement folds along the torso below the breasts looked great!

Quote - I just found a mirror morph utility in PhilC's Poser Tool Box. I shulda known 8-)
Yep! It works in PP2012!

Quote - I'd like to think so :)
Awesome jeans man! Very sexy, but they should also be appealing to everyone wanting every-day street clothes!

Quote - has anybody been successful at making conformers for her?
Quickconform just produces an invisible .cr2, and trying to delete bones in PP2012 just crashes Poser, i can delete the un-needed bones in earlier versions of Poser (P8 and PP2010) but on trying to go back to the Pose room and save the .cr2 after bone deleting, they both crash.
even using the full skeleton has not worked properly for me, upon copy joint parameters over( from the figure menu) conforming , etc. upon posing ( even a mild pose) the mesh explodes?
I'm using the same process Letterworks outlined. It's taken a bit of trial and error, but it's working. One other thing of note is I used PhilC's Cr2 editor to remove the magnets in the cr2 as well. Also, you should be using the base Alyson 2 figure to build your conformers--not Anastasia. (I got this tip from Gabriel himself)
Could it be that Quickconform might not be compatible with PP2012 cr2's?

Quote - The bulge maps won't help with twist (for which they're not available, unfortunately), but for bend and side-side they're fantastic! :woot:
Yeah, I was just playing with them a bit. Your right, they don't help with the twists, but I'm having some nice results with some of the other movements. I guess I'll have to start over and do a bit more weightmap manipulation. Thanks again for the tip! ;-)

Quote - Have you been using the bulge maps to try to fix pokethrough? I've found that they work fairly well for that, much of the time. But I haven't used Anastasia, so I don't know if there might be any special complications involved in your project.
No, Anastasia isn't the problem. She does have a couple of JCM's, but not in the hip area. I'll have to take a look at those bulge maps though. I didn't realize they were separate. Thanks!

Quote - EOD, I saw this thread on RDNA's Poser9/2012, forum and it goes into a lot of detail about metadata and it's current an potential future uses. I thought you might find it interesting. http://www.runtimedna.com/forum/showthread.php?67863-Metadata-and-its-use-in-Poser
Oh wow, thank you! I'm going to check this out right now!

Quote - The first paid clothing to come out for Anastasia, leather shorts and top, had the same problem with the shorts as you demonstrated. The author included a pose file to fix it. Without the pose file, her butt showed through just like yours upon conforming.
Ah, too bad the vendor had to do that. The fix John suggested worked perfectly!

Quote - The XMP file is metadata information on the saveditem, it can be edited with the metadata builder Pything script in poser or any xmp editor. It ads info to the item that can be seen in the info at the bottom infowindow in the Library.
It can safely be left out of the package unless SM changes things in the future.
Ah, OK, great to know! Thanks so much! :-)

Quote - it does that sadly :) I had an apparantly over complicated way of fixing it. But some kind fellows pointed out that Zeroing the conformer then using the memorize option before saving it to the library sorts it out.
John.
Sweet! Thanks you so much! That did it John!
When I had orignially exported Alyson2 with the Anastasia morph applied to use as my modeling base, I zeroed her joints prior to export. When Alyson loads in her default pose, her thighs are bent at -12 and twisted at 2 and -2 respectively. I wonder if you exported her without zeroing and modeled your clothes on her if you would have this issue?
Thanks again man!
--Jeff
BTW, what is that xmp file that's created in the figure folder along with the clothing. Is it needed?
Thread: Alyson Conforming Issue | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I just figured out something. For some reason, when I conform the shorts, the thighs bend at -12 and twist at 2. If I zero the shorts joints, there is no poke-through at the zeroed position. I resaved them to the library, and reloaded them, but they're still doing it. Any thoughts?

Quote - I'm sure the vendors who put both shoes in one figure do the mirror thing somewhere along the way.
Yes, it's possible to mirror your shoe in your modeler and then make a conformer out of the pair (I've been doing this a while. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck! LOL!). However, I find it is much easier to set up JCM's, FBM's and JP's on one of the pair and use D3D's mirror tool on the completed conformer. I don't see where it's a huge issue other than more clicks to load an outfit. There are also python scripts that will let you conform multiple clothing items at once. Here is one example from D3D:

You can also use ShaderWorks Library Manager 2 to load several figures at once.

Quote - Speaking of shoes, I am very fond of vendors who make both shoes part of the same CR2 instead of two separate ones.
I always used to set up my shoes as a pair, but ever since I started using D3D's Content Mirror, I found it way easier to set up one shoe with all the JP's and morphs, and then just make a mirrored one.
