nerd: I hope they are working on a solution for the next service release/update? Or was it fixed already? I got the problem when I installed the SR that came out in August or September... is there a new one out now?

Thread: Simulations don't work in Poser Pro11...... :( | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Me too, I had this recently. I did a renistall and it seems to be ok... I didn't test it enough though because I moved back to PP 2014 for a while.
There was a nother thread here where someone explained how to go back to a previous version (before the service release). It seems as if the forum has been changed and all the old Poser discussion threads are gone though?
So if someone could post this again thing it might be very useful to severeal people here. :D Hope someone knowledgeable sees this...

Thread: Suggestions to dynamic cloth room | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
I agree about the elastic!
I have mentioned this before but people have misunderstood and get it confused with stretch. This would be an actual shrink (as of right now you can do a shrink using a special trick scaling the figure, but it affects the whole garment). Being able to put shrink/elastic on dynamic cloth groups would be awesome, since constrained often ends up looking distorted because it sticks to the figure's polygons like conforming clothing. That is not what we want, we still want it to slide over the figure enough to retain a realistic shape as cloth.
There are so many cool things we could do with this!

A_Sunbeam: Thank you so much! I will definitely try this if my regular reinstall doesn't fix things.
Meanwhile I jumped back to PP2104 for my current project. No rest for the wicked... ;)

Thread: Poser 11/Poser 11 Pro: Bug Reports | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have had serious cloth room issues after the latest update - the cloth sim has stopped working. After completing the simulation, (I am watching during the simulation to make sure it works fine), the screen will flash quickly and the simulation resets as if it has never happened.
Also, I am experiencing crashes - sometimes after I do have a working simulation and I remove the .obj that is being tested with a new version, saved out from the same program with the same settings, P11 will crash completely.
Starting a new file will bring me back to situation #1. Testing with old things that have always worked, they work sometimes as normal and sometimes I get the simulation reset. This is after restarting the program in between. It seems completely random, but also getting worse.
This is quite worrying and has never happened before, although I have seen people mentioning this issue on the web a while ago.
Is there any way I can reset my installation to an earlier version? Going to try a reinstall and report back, but it will be the latest version.

Wonderful!
I am having login issues though. I manage to succesfully log in with my Rendo account and see my name on the top right. But when I click on the link to the forums, I see a login button again. When I repeat the process, I get the same result. I wonder what I need to do here?

Thread: The sameness of characters for sale | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think most everyone can turn a dial. But really good textures is a different matter. I think most people buy characters for the skins.

Well, in any case I like the look of her. She looks both pretty and natural. V4 killer or not, she definitely has potential. After seeing Erogenesis' recent work with Pauline I am definitely looking forward to this figure. And the community seems supportive enough. ;)

Nice work Lyrra!
I have to say that harassment has no place whatsoever in the community. I really hope this issue will be taken a bit more seriously in the future because it scares off a lot of the people that actually have something to contribute.

Regarding Ebots: I am getting ebots for threads I have been posting in. It is probably because of this check mark, which seems to work:
On the other hand, I have tried 'Subscribing' to a thread where I didn't post, but then I don't seem to get ebots, even though people have been posting in the thread. So one thing seems to be working while the other isn't.

Yeah really... I am impressed by the quality of the texture, is that the default?
I have never worked with the older Poser figures, but went straight to V4 and M4. What are the problems with posing with James?

Thread: A question about mt5 and mc6 files | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If I want to extract .mt5s from a mt6 and I don't have the original prop, I'll load a cube and let Poser add the material zones to it, copy from there. It can be useful if you don't want to reload the prop you are working on (for example a dynamic clothing item you already simulated).

Hey BB, what figure and skin are you using for that render? It seems to have a very good bump map!
I must definitely try that shader out, thank you. :)
