I use V2/V3/Steph (not Petite), MD/not so much AD but I'm starting to play with toon renders now. I have Koshini and sara, but I think they are both ugly and I use Aiko once in awhile. Oh, I also use MGPT, but I keep forgetting that she is one of the PT models. I use Yamato's TentenJ (The tenten's were my favorite figure till MD came out, I even have MD with tenten's head on it) Marty, Sorry I haven't got those pics done, I've been a little distracted trying to figure something out. Hopefully I'll have something to show, if not tonight then tomorrow night. Dang work gets in the way of stuff I need to get done :(

Thats looking VERY sharp Marty... OK, I'll pull out MD instead of AD and try to come up with something to submit for the merchant page, just not sure what... creativity seems to have taken a vacation this week. Hmmm... I need a better beach scene. Grim

Marty, feel free to use the pic I submitted here. I'm working on another one along simular liens... IE that type of cell shading. Grim

Its looking very very nice marty! I have clothes converter but so far I'm not real peased with it. at least with the auto scaling and MD. Mut yeah, I seem to have a niche with morphing clothes, at least with mags.

Marty, The python script was not easy to track down, the search engine dosen't bring it up if you use python as a search item. if you use "clone" it does. the creators website is http://poserpython.com/ScriptsPage.html, it can be downloaded from there as well. As far as your catsuit goes, I haven't actualy tried it in the cloth room yet, but from experience I don't think it will work. The problem is, the seams that you have in there for the stocking top, abdomen, arms etc.. are not "part of the mesh" is the best way I can describe it. If I try to put it in the cloth room, they will break and fall. You need to be able to constrain them for it to work and when your trying to "grow" a piece of cloth, you just can't do that, and if your trying to do a skirt that has a hem in the mesh... well you can't constrain them either or the skirt won't move right. I'll throw your Catsuit in the chamber later and see what happens, I'll post a pick of what it does. However, on my way how from work last night I think I came up with a new process that will at least help me with a sweet pair of jeans I'm trying to convert. If it works I'll update you with the process. Other morph programs... I have used the tailor with some success and just bought 1.5. There was another application that I was looking at the other night (I can't remember the name) that looked like it had some promise, but I have been burned for the cost off several utilities lately (they just don't seem to do what they were advertised to do) that I have been very hesitant to pop out another 60 bucks or more... if you know what I mean. Is there a morph package you can recomend?

Ugg No way to edit posts here, Eratta number one in my long conversion post: (almost all of this is done on conformed btw). should read almost all of this is done UN conformed. Riddokun, I do it all by hand unless i get lucky and the cloth room can help me out. Lets just say that the clothes converter doesn't work with MD/AD at all and leave it at that (bites tongue till it bleeds).

As far as sharing goes, I would love to. I would wish this kind of work on anyone! All the meshes have to be RTE/PCF encoded, which unfortunatly means that any of my older bat conversion won't work if you don't have the files, and most aren't distributed anymore. I highly suggest that you head out to Yamato's site (poser penthouse) and down load the files from the fair thats going on, some of the clothes I converted are re-availble there for a short time (like ISOPs sailor suit and BATs cangal outfits I used for the sailor suit conversion). Thank god for cut and paste on this one, lets try again! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SENSHI :) One note I forgot to put in. I didn't convert the stockings on the Cathrine Dress, I just used the stockings/Gaterbelt from MD Sexy Lingerie. I had already gone in and split the pieces up and remapped the stockings to take the textures that Bluebeard made for spanki's V3 stocking and didn't want to do the work again. I don't really have any working magnet sets. there seems to be some big inconsistancies when it comes to converting clothes to fit MD and any sets thay I have tried to make only work on that one piece. I have a couple basic magnet sets that I use, one for the short boots that I posted earlier and a small set that makes aome minor shape changes to the hips and thighs. For the most part every figure is done from scratch. One of the things that I have figured out, a morph set really won't work, if nothing else the hip/buttock is way to different. I beat my head against that wall for a long time till I finally gave up. I was so happy when BAT released some updates to his figures to include MD and found that he had seperate OBJs for MD. What I do for the most part is this: I scale the body of the figure, for a V3 to MD conversion its roughly 90%, that tends to put the crotch (if there is one) in the correct place (almost all of this is done on conformed btw). I tweak the individual X Y Z positions on the body and individual body parts till I'm as close as I can get to a fit, its usually not very close at this point (I think this is where I lose the ability to use a magnet set, this tweeking spot). I Then apply magnets to the areas that don't have symetrical problems, but are well hidden by MD mesh. I then export the mesh to OBJ selecting all of the optoions except morph target. This is where I get a little wierd I guess, and also another reason I can't use mag set. I import the figure (unchecking every thing and checking weld) and I check to see if the model will work in the cloth room (most don't for this purpose, clothing objects with lots of trim, like marty's cat suit or almost anything BAT does need to have portions of it constrained IE the trim, and you don't want to constrain anything at this point). Assuming the OBJ is clothroom compatible I then scale the obj down just enough for a lot of it to be just barely hidden by MD mesh and re export/import (you have to do this or you end up losing alot of your cloth work, you have to export/import after every change). Set up Key frame on frames 1 and 20, on frame one scale MD down so that she no longer connects to the obj mesh, you may have to scale individual body parts, not the entire figure. after clothifying the obj and setting collision depth and the other setting at the top to .25 and cloth density to .0001 run the simultion. If things work out you'll have a fairly well fitting obj. Export/Import. At this point whether the obj worked in cloth room or not, is where I do most of my mag work. For some reason on MD it works better to do mag work here. I found it easier to get the hip/buttock/back to work right if I work on the whole model as an OBJ then on individual body parts on a conformed figure, But this is the other reason I don't have working magnet sets. Whew! Some time I can do a figure in an evening, some times... I have to say tho... I learned alot about magnets doing this. Oh, I usualy do thigh/leg/breast work on the cr2 figure, not the obj, there is a python script in the freebies section that does a symetrical magnet clone that helps ALOT!

Marty, I think we had a miscommunication, I wasn't trying to say that the forum shouldn't be public, but that maybe a better forum system could be found else where, that doesn't seem to be a glitchy as this one. I have never had problems posting to a forum like I do to this one (meaning RMP, not specifically to these threads). I have to type these out in notepad or some such, or do a copy right before I post because half the time I try to post here it kicks me out to the main forum menu and I lose all of my typing :(. I try to be carefull with the way I phrase things, its soooo easy to have a misunderstanding, or offend some one when your trying to "talk" in a forum, I don't always succeed. I never ever meant to make it private, it to much fun talking to the other MD/AD enthusiasts! Oh and sorry, the prop I was talking about wasn't a freebie, I have so many props and what not I lose track (25 gig runtime directory, thats after I removed all the posette stuff). It was part of a MD package called Mimi. http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=26253 Also, did you see the texure package that serpentis put out for your new Bikini? It looks good, priced decent to. It might help drive sales for the Bikini. http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=28110

That and no offence to Mr Maya, he doesn't seem to be promoting his own product much. It was totaly cool that he made MD free but its not like most people know its there, word of mouth is not the worlds best marketing strategy. I have a suggestion or two for you and your crew Marty. You might want to try throwing out a texture pack, or even a mesh package to some of the other vendors like 3dna, poser pro or 3d commune, while these venues are not as high traffic there are some advantages. Since they aren't as prolific, your products won't get buried as fast, so they stay visible longer, if you pop out a texture package that points back to the main product here on RMP... viola, more visibility. Along with this, it would probrably be helpfull to have a web site that you can link to. That way you can show off your products the way you want to and point back to your product here. The Japanese poser sites are also a great place to show off some of your stuff, thats where I originaly stumbled across studio Maya, I was catching up on the gallery he has there and found his link to StudioMaya, I checked it out and bookmarked it for the hair. If you can get a listing on his site, or possibly get involved with some of the "fairs" as they are refered to, that might be a way to get some additional visibility. Thats the one main problem I see with RMP, theres so much stuff coming in at times that some thing you saw a week ago gets totaly buried. I tried some searches the other day in the marketplace and the freebies section and the results only pulled up roughly half of the item I was looking for and a bunch of products that didn't even relate to my search. Just some suggestions, hope I didn't offend :) Grim

Marty, Before you get to far on that, some one released a pubic hair prop for Mayadoll in the freebies section. Just want to make sure you know, that might reduce the saleability of an RMP product. Also, I had this big post I made earlier that got dumped by the system. I'm in agreement with those that think this forum needs to be moved else where, its not the first time that happened to me. Any how to restate part of what I tried to post before I had to leave for work: Marty, I think we all understand the finacial aspect of what your your doing, this isn't a hobby for all of us. As far as business goes, you need to do what ever it take to keep your self in business. While it sucks to lose the support for MD/AD it is more then understandable. :) I then went on (only half jokingly) to offer to take your meshes and do the MD/AD conversions on them, I've gotten to be pretty good with a set of magnets and have done quite a few MD conversion. I'll post some pics if anyone is interested in seeing my converted stuff. I have a few that have come out quite well. As far as my pic goes, feel free to use it for what ever you want! Grim
