Find a way (post production maybe?) to put the moons above the cloud layer. Those moons are probably many hundreds of thousands of miles away, but they look as if they are only a few thousand feet up because the clouds are behind them. Locke
Thread: Render resolution settings in Bryce 4? | Forum: Bryce
Under the File:Render to Disk menu option you get a dialog box that asks you for the dimensions and for the resolution. The default is 72, but you can set it to whatever you want in that dialog box. Locke

Thread: poser patch | Forum: Community Center
I am using 4.0.2 which is a vast improvment over 4.0 and should be available on the Metacreations web site. I am not sure if they still are offering it, but it should still be there. Locke
Thread: Open Challange ! Goddess Challenge | Forum: Challenge Arena
I think I'll give this one a try as well. Already have two other things on my plate but this is too good to pass up. I am going to attempt to do Anath, the Chief West Semitic goddess of love and war. Locke
Thread: WIP suggestions? | Forum: Bryce
Consider making the orange energy on top of the cone a little less solid. It looks like a stick of some sort now, make it look a little more like energy, or if it sin't energy make it clearer what it is. Other than that I love the rest. Locke

Thread: Looking for a challenge... | Forum: Challenge Arena
What I was thinking of was a kind of a contrast between nature and some sort of mechanical intrussion. For example, a rainforest with a rusted out car in the middle of it, a new planet's eco system disturbed by a landing space ship, anything that shows a machine interacting with nature. Rosh, you need to pass the challenge on to me to complete the triangle. Locke

Okay, I got one for you. Make an image that shows mechanical intrusion into nature. Take this anywhere you want, if you want to set it on another planet go for it, but don't feel obligated to. And most importantly have fun. Why don't you either make a triangle out of this and challenge someone else who can then challenge me, or just give me a challenge back. Locke
Thread: Anyone know what site this belongs to? | Forum: Bryce
I don't know, but if you do find it make sure you post it because this looks like a really cool site. You sure that that tractor was modeled entirely with latices? Locke
Thread: DEM- Digital elevation maps | Forum: Bryce
The USGS web site has DEM's for all of the United States. The address is under the links menu in Bryce. USGS Elevation Maps
Thread: having trouble exporting obj. PLEASE HELP | Forum: Bryce
I have been able to export rocks in exactly the same way that I export imported meshes. Bring up the edit window and hit cmd-D to bring up the export dialog. -Locke
Thread: Size to post? | Forum: Challenge Arena
I usually post at 640x480, this allows a 1024x768 monitor to view it inside the renderosity window without scrolling. If you need more detail then it is okay to post a larger image. Hope this helps. -Locke
Thread: A Stitch in Time (Locke's challenge) | Forum: Challenge Arena
I like it, you are right it was not at all what I was thinking of, but it is buetiful and satisfies the conditions of the challenge perfectley. Shows how narrow my vision of things is. Good work. -Locke
Thread: How about a status indicator? | Forum: Challenge Arena
What ever you interpret "a stitch in time" to mean is fine, I have been tossing this idea around for a while and never got around to making it. Have fun. -Locke
