I've double clicked on all 3 icons but there's still nothing. Not sure if this is allowed but could I instead send someone the original email with the 3 clickable links as I would dearly love to see what I've bought after so long !

Thanks for the help. Clicked on the .exe file which is where the next question asks which programme do you want to install it into. Poser is installed in My Documents and the file itself is now on Desktop. Using Windows 7 XP 32 bit with Firefox, I did try Explorer with the same result. I don't have Winzip so that might be the cause....?

Out of my depth on this one as I'm still having problems trying to open a file I bought from Daz yesterday. Downloaded ok after clicking on Run which I gather is a zip file but it now keeps asking which programme to choose to open the file. There's several options but I've no idea which one's correct as it's rejecting the ones I click on at random - Firefox, Internet Explorer, VLC media player.
Any help much appreciated as it's a file I've wanted for ages,
Thanks

Quote - All software programs are difficult to begin with. Just keep on trucking and do your exploring and experimenting with the program, eg if I click on this what will it do and remember the Cntrl Z function on your keyboard, it is the undo function standard for most all types of Software including Poser, Carrara, DAZ, Hexagon, Zbrush, Wings, Blender etc.
By the way, Blender, Wings, Sculptris, Hexagon are wonderful model creation tools and best of all they are all FREE, full versions, no time limits. Sorry to derail the thread..Jan

Yes I agree about exploring and experimenting will do, and thanks for the tips I've learnt so much on here already. However I'm still at the ridiculous stage at the moment trying to get a wig onto Jessie's head and it's impossible !

Quote - Remember that Deput is very limited in what it can do so don't base your decision on it. Ask the folks here. All DAZ figures (V4 and below are fully compatible with Poser 8).
Additional you can combine Aiko, The Girl, Stephanie, together for some pretty good morphs. All dynamic clothing from everywhere can be used. Other folks can add info too.
I had to print out the full Debut manual as there was far too much to take in all at once, but from what little I've learned what you say does sound interesting. This is because luckily I'm able to work "backwards" so to speak from the artwork I normally do to what I'm trying to grasp now. Is this quite a common approach for others too ?

Quote - Terrible timing. Debut was offered free about a month back.
Haven't paid anything yet as they can only take it if you don't cancel at the end of the month allowed. I chose Debut because I hoped it would be simpler....at the moment it's a real uphill struggle !

Quote - Marcuse, when you are ready, you can purchase Poser 8 (yes it is one generation behind the current Poser 9) at Amazon.com for $70. It is a fully operational package with all the goodies. Other folks here might know of reputable places that sell it cheaper.

Thanks I'm doing the one month free trial of Debut to see how things go and then decide. About 27 days or so left....

Thank you and everyone previously !! It's all been a really great help as I'm already finding that it's helping my drawing enormously by being able to move the screen model in all directions for different 3D realism and perspectives, miles better than the old wooden human figure the limbs and head of which you had to keep twisting into different positions. Invaluable in another sense too as you're seeing the final drawing on the screen before ever putting pencil to paper, rather than trying to keep improving vague pictures in your mind with dozens of tiring preliminary sketches.
Thanks again
(Are the Daz ones compatible with Poser ?)

Whenever I get time, rarely (!), I like to sketch romantic mythical creatures and why I'd like to learn more about 3d, so would it be too much to ask where would I find more mermaids and centauresses....? The interesting point about mermaids is how often they're depicted with knees bent, whereas in your link it's the first time I've seen two very realistic ones with shark bodies and tails the way I've always drawn them too....
