Thank you so much for posting this. I bought Carrara when it first came out and haven't really used it much, yet. Your tut is very easy to understand for a beginner. Again, thanks! Marybeth

Melanie - Good for you! I think you're going to really enjoy her. Like Diane said, the detail on the texture map for the hands alone was worth the price. I did find, though, that the face map was an entirely different color than the body, but that was easily fixed in Photoshop and really looks a lot better when it's adjusted. Enjoy her! Marybeth

Yowsa! James, this is fantastic! You've done an outstanding job on all of the Tolkein characters, but this one is definitely my favorite by far. He's got such character in his face. Great job! Marybeth

Thanks for all the nice comments! SewerRat: The texture is a combination of painted and photo. For the most part, the face is from a scan of Sean Connery and mapped to the Poser template. The eyes are my own taken from a closeup with a digital camera. The eyebrows will look somewhat better if you turn them white before rendering (I forgot to do this...another blonde moment!) The rest of the body was painted and noise was added for the skin texture. The chest hair is Brad Pitt's. Nance: The hair on the head was done in post using the smudge tool and few strokes of the airbrush in Photoshop. Very quick and easy! Again, thanks to all for the kind comments. Marybeth
