Just a heads up - I use Spyware bot to scan for spyware and adware. I ran it after going to the ru site.  I can up with an extra bonus of dealing with these people - so be aware. I tried looking for the name of the bot, but couldn't find it in the quarantined list.

Drifterlee is doing a great job trying to communicate with the ru sites and get things straightened out. I can imagine how frustrating it is. She is trying her best to translate what is really going on. 

Unfortunately, I have another issue that needs to be considered. With the little to NO actions RR is taking, it does seem to send a message to the community that we CAN IGNORE all the readme's that have ever been created over the years with the Freebies, and Merchants. Since RR will NOT stand up for their Artists, Free or Merchant, I guess we can all go out and get our own lawyers with Boris and Roylo if we want to make a real issue of it. It also sends a message that we the artists CAN sell trademark and copywrited materials - as long as they are NOT in the United States. It also sends a message to those hoods who stole artwork that it IS okay and go ahead and steal more for your gain. If not from this site, you are welcome to attack Poser Pros, 3DC, RDNA or any of the other sites that host images to make a profit off us poor artists who create for your wallet. We drift into international cyberspace - anything applies.

Drifterlee and Renderosity should be aware of another issue that the stolen issue bring to the legal front. Some of those images MAY have product that was never intended to be sold in a render, but for the personal use only. I know, personally, I have downloaded a number of free items that state "for personal use only", no "commercial use."  Now besides stealing the art from the site, they are also encrouching on the the people who made models, textures, lightings, props, and materials. Also it may go as far as copywrite problems with the bigger companies like DC, Marvel, Lucas, for example, if the items lifted were FAN ART that they are currently using in a commercial manner (I avoid the sales issue, since you might have to PAY to get on the site .) Just an awareness of the issue and how big it can get when you have free items that are/were only ment for personal use like BATS, ISOP, and FAN ART created for the enjoyment of the artist.

I posted an thread also I didn't see your until I had posted mine. I also found that site, and I found one of wrspeed's images. Terry said THEY are trying to SELL the images from what he can tell by the translation. They are also not giving proper credit to individuals who created the art, and claiming it as their own. 
Babel fish is a great translater to read what is really going on.

Thanks a million - you are a gentleman and a scholar. It was strange I could download items that were not marked freebies and it welcomed me a subscriped member, but the freebies didn't. Guess I'll wait for the server to catch up with the world.
