chuckles Hey Deecey, ever hear the old saying, "May you live in interesting times"? It is an old Chinese Curse. And indeed, I agree, we have been caught up in "interesting times" now for years in the Poser community :)

A few more pennies for the pot, and a secret ;) Kozaburo HAS worked for Daz making hair in the past ;) It is one of those little known secrets. I'll let you all figure out which hair he made ;p He did not want money for his work though. Instead, being the person that he is, he wanted store credit as it were, so that he could give gifts to those who are his friends in order to make them happy. I think... and this is my own personal speculation, but is also somewhat backed up by a conversation I had with Dan Farr about it and other matters tonight, that the trip is other business, but happens to take them close enough that they wish to visit several of the Japanese artists on a mission of goodwill. I also think that naturally, as would any site, they do hope that eventually this mission of goodwill will result in products being made and sold on Daz by the Japanese artists that they are visiting, whether these products be for Poser, or for the launch of Daz Studio when it goes out in all it's glory :)

Pengy, unbeknownst to most, Daz's principles are not nearly as "off duty", or "gone" as they might seem to be. I just got off a couple hour long phone call with Dan Farr, who called to find out why I had posted something in their forums they had to delete, etc. He has not read the post that was deleted, and each time I have asked him to come onto this site and read the copy of it that I posted here, he has sort of not indicated if he would, or would not, so I do not know if he intends to or not. However, when I have repeatedly asked that my post be restored, or the thread be unlocked so I can repost it, he has said over and over that they have "enabled" Will Dupre and the rest of their staff to make their own decisions in matters such as this, from which I take it he means they are closing ranks around Will, and even if Will was wrong, he is right as far as Daz goes. Dan Farr did ask that we not be enemies, not have a warlike footing, and I agree with that. I am not on a warlike footing with them at all. I regret it if my post comes across that way to anyone. I do however have a unique insiders view of this matter at least from the perspective of Merrilyn Ellison, and wanted to share a few thoughts, opinions, and observations based on that admittedly rather one sided view of what is going on.

How much does this license cost? I don't recall the newsletter sent to the Brokered Artists... er I mean "Published Artists" saying anything about licenses being available for purchase when the newsletter was trying to persuade us to give our art to be used as clipart.

Well... being a breeder of birds, I don't count chickens before they hatch! ;) So right now, the only way to get a nice French Maid render is to buy at the very least, Poser Artist :)

Hi Steve, You all missed one. You can have her though. Perhaps it will help bring in more sales to Jim Burton, which would be a blessed outcome to all this mess. Suppose someone decides they REALLY need a nice French Maid render for their website and newsletter about Kinky French Maids. chuckles It is just one of those happy coincidences! But we are just so tickled pink by it, that we think it would be a fine idea if future themes also bolstered eachother as it lends support to both sites! :) After all, no site is an island :)
