Also in Wings 3D you can make edges Hard which has a similar effect to Split Vertices. Not sure how displacement maps will work with that.

Just export the smart prop out as an obj. Now import back in and uncheck "Centered" and "Percentage of standard figure size". Now apply materials or textures, smart prop it back to the figure and save to the props library. All the dials will now be at 100%

Is it possible your computer is just going into hibernation. I have Windows XP and that happened to me, so I disable it in the Control Panel under Power Options by setting everything to Never.

I just tested Koz Long Hair V3 in Poser 7 and everything worked fine. I suspect it is as jjroland said. Try re-installing. If that doesn't work try downloading the file again. It could have become corrupted during download.
