Ok, I have got everything like it looks in the picture, the trans maps are on her hair, but it still doesn't show in preview or render in with the transparency. The wine is sounding better and better LOL.

nope, it still puts the hair texture on the entire figure, not just the hair. There must be some easy thing that I am missing :-) thanks so much for trying to help me though! I think I need to pour some wine and fiddle for a few hours. I just get very impatient with myself LOL.
