Something tells me you should go to the Renderosity Marketplace and search around. I used the word "Mansion," and found a good exterior model. But if you're looking for interiors, you could try using another keyword. I've seen a few while looking for other things. Of course I look for Poser stuff. Are you looking for Bryce stuff only? I guess some items come in more than one format? Here's an example, for $20. It's in "Obj" format.Thread: 215 folders in pose library.....Help!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I never use the Windows File Manager (Windows Explorer), since it always has lacked some important features. I use PowerDesk Utilities. Since I don't use Windows Explorer, I don't have any of that mucky-muck talk about thumbnails. I also use ThumbsPlus for my thumbnail stuff. It's great.

Poser is a silly program. It tells you some things that are not true, and it's "error-reporting" vocabulary is limited.

You don't need to rename any of those file extensions if you use PBooost to handle your large libraries. However, P3DO Explorer is great for many other features, and it is also free!!!

I've rarely experienced any lockups with PBooost and XP with NTFS since I used CorrectReference to fix my entire Poser installation. It's also necessary to use CorrectReference on any new stuff that you install or save! That's the part that catches me, since I get lazy sometimes.

Um, Howard is a great friend, and he owes me a few beers, if I can ever make it over to the UK!

This is a known issue with Poser and Windows 2000 & Windows XP. Curious Labs suggests adjusting your swap file size to fix the problem. I've successfully reinstalled Poser on a different hard drive and fixed it myself. After that, if I got the error, it meant I had to defrag the hard drive. Believe it or not, sometimes Poser is telling you the truth when you get that error message. I think we sometimes underestimate the amount of room our hard drives need to render and run our software. I can't help notice you didn't tell us how much free space is on your hard drive.

Two suggestions: 1.) Get Windows XP 2.) Get at least a total of 512MB of RAM. You have a nice computer, now just give it a chance to do the work for you!

Yes!!!! PBooost is a godsend. It would be far less work just to create Banks for different things. Gosh, I tried moving Pose stuff into the camera library and such. What a lot of work, and what a mess!!! PBooost is in the Marketplace, for $20. It's the most useful thing I have in my Poser toolkit. While you're at it, get CorrectReference from Free Stuff. It will fix any problems you may have with textures. You may have bad texture references and not even know it.

You might look at Camtasia Studio for $349. I've played with Camtasia, and think it's fantastic!Thread: Uninstalling Poser, and Starting Over Due to Stuff All Over The Place | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I like to totally reinstall everything from scratch every few months. It's a good excuse to cut down on the sheer amount of stuff. I also take all my Poser stuff, and reorganize all the zip files using a template of the Poser folder structure. Then I make "theme CD's" of the originals. (Mike, Vicky, etc.) Then I install the stuff from there. If you have Poser 4, you want to get two essential tools: 1.) PBooost ($20 in the Marketplace, and it will soon be available for Poser 5!), and CorrectReference. PBooost allows you to create banks to further organize your Poser stuff. I have a bank for Mike, Vicky, the Millennium kids, etc. CorrectReference (free!) will go through your Poser installation and fix any bad texture references. You would be surprised at how many items have bad texture references. Also, CorrectReference will fix any texture references when you decide to move stuff around.
